The Originals is a more interesting show right now, particularly if you have a fascination for witches. The show isn't great with werewolves, but they're in the background after a prominent arc in the first seasons. The biggest problem is having two (female) leads whose characters/actresses are just unbearable over

The new Cami is more somewhat bearable for me than the old one, but it still only confirms what I suspected all along: I'm just not a fan of Leah Pipes. She's also playing Vampire Cami more like Vampire Cami with the Humanity Turned Off, which is not quite right.

Terry Crews, who is now about the age OJ was when this all went down.

Three inches shorter than Cuba and way too pretty. We needed Henry Simmons for this. Or Terry Crews. Will Smith and Idris Elba probably wouldn't touch this. I don't think LL Cool J would have the chops for this.

I never liked Cami more than—well, at all, actually—when she was ready to die with her principles intact. But now? She better be badass, but I have my doubts.

As Alicia, you mean.

Binging this now and noting that the murder (if that's what it was) of the CT was the first major misstep of the series so far. All that flailing and she didn't manage to scratch his face? Not buying that.

Filmed in NYC.

And Michael J. Fox.

Enter Michael J. Fox…

After three seasons of watching Angela Bassett sink lower and lower into actors' debasement, so much so that this time she is literally a figure of "black exploitation," now's a good time as many to be reminded of the high horse she got on in 2002, after Halle Berry won an Oscar for Monster's Ball. Bassett told Newswee

Aren't their identical looks kind of the point?

Sweeney Todd's murder chute.

She only name-checked gay men, so no Basquiat.

He glared in their direction about Scotty's behavior, not about them.

Yes, Noah says to Helen on the beach in reference to Alison's reveal that he might not be the father: "And I didn't even want a kid. I thought Alison got pregnant to keep me from ever going back to you."

What, no Star Trek fans? Blaine: "Dammit, Don E, I'm a brain dealer, not a doctor!"

At least The Originals has more than one, all major characters, all with voices and all (mostly) still alive.

And not *just* about clothes, you mean, ;-)

The only way we'll know if Leah Pipes can actually act is if she comes back as a vampire, because she brought nothing to the role thus far that elevated it beyond the annoying contrivance it has always been.
