Yeah, going from Sienkiewicz to Blevins had to be whiplash-inducing for readers! I started reading NM right as Blevins took over, so I didn't have to make that adjustment in terms of style. Blevins is solid (IMO), but Sienkiewicz is just next-level, crazy talented, obviously.

While you may not like Blevins' style (which is perfectly understandable, it's a little weird/creepy), he's actually a very fundamentally skilled artist, unlike Liefeld. He's done tons of tutorials and articles for comic art magazines like Draw, and from his sketches and layouts it's obvious that he's a very solid

Their reunion was actually really sweet and endearing too!

Best Show fan, by any chance?

Actually, comic shops place initial orders for comics just two months in
advance (the order I'll place in a couple weeks at the end of February
will be for comics shipping in April). Then we can actually adjust
orders up OR down on the majority of comics (Dark Horse, DC, IDW, Image,
Marvel, Archie, Boom, Dynamite,

The Moose and Laughing Planet are both still here and both still awesome! I did a little bit of packaging design for the Moose, actually.

Yes, I've heard something about his sons, but don't recall the details. Fighting, I think?

Oh, I've heard plenty of good stories like this too. I know plenty of people who've had nice interactions with him. He's a human being, I'm sure he has good days and bad days, just like the rest of us. But it's so much more fun to demonize him!

My Mellencamp story that I’m always eager to share at any mention of his name:

Only clicked on this article to Ctrl+F "Warren." Thank you for not letting me down.

You're right, it is a pain in the ass having to order everything two months in advance. That's why Final Order Cut-Off is such an essential tool, it allows you to adjust your numbers up OR down on the bulk of comics shipping in three weeks, rather than being locked in on your initial order numbers. If your store still

I love when Wuster breaks too - when I started listening to the Best Show a couple years ago, it he must have been on a streak of breaking up a lot, for a while it seemed like at some point during each call he'd "see a mouse wearing a cape." Turns out he doesn't actually break all that often, which sort of

He lost the voice a couple times (he's said it's a tough one to do for an extended time), but it was definitely him. Plenty of typical Wursterisms, inflections, etc., to make me confident it was him. And it was a great call!

Oh, not just some gas station, some gas station in Martinsville, which is just 15 minutes up the road from me. They probably left him at the Circle K where all of the soda from the fountain tastes faintly of root beer, but for some reason I always stop and get it from there anyway. And I bet Tom stayed in the car,

Something for daddy, right?

Something for daddy, right?

Check out my handle, I've been waiting for the Zoo Crew to get some love here since I signed up! I've given up most of my childhood playthings, but absolutely the last thing I'd give up is my complete run of CCAHAZC comics - and when I say complete, I mean complete, the preview story in New Teen Titans #16, Zoo Crew

Raconteur, you really touched on something I forgot to mention above: the Best Show really does have a feeling of community. I've never called in, and yet I feel like I'm part of the show simply by listening to it each week.

Thanks, Jay!
