Splice = Human Centipede PG?
I just wanted to say, in the back of there here message boards where no one will read this:

Gahhhh….

Ick. After the movie was first mentioned on one of the AVClub Q&A's, I wikipedia'd it. I actually feel queasy at any mere mention of the movie. That's not an exaggeration.

Such wise words coming from a John Edwards avatar…

Agreed. It was far too sitcom-y, and not in a good way. This one fell short where others succeed because it had such a reliance on the plot, and that plot being one that will continue into the next episodes.

Stripper with a robot hand. Now THAT movie would be a success!!

I would so attend a Living Giant Head Festival….

I am also really upset I missed this liveblog. Seemed like ever so much fun. Sigh…

Is this what the kids are calling "meta"?

Came back to check, so well done, Off Topic Bear. I look forward to your random thread interruptions on cooking, your favorite Power Ranger, and why it's so difficult to clean a keyboard.

Really interesting stuff. A little embarrassed, since I always assumed the normal interpretation too…

I think someone needs to register the name Off Topic Bear ASAP.

That is very sad. And true (he was divorcing during the taping of final few episodes, hence his not-so-good performances then).

Yeah, why hasn't Baldwin hopped on the money train of Christian straight-to-DVD movies yet? Wikipedia just taught me that that Fireman Kirk Cameron movie made $33 million at the box office, for pete's sake. It's the actor's version of the Christian rock band fallback if it turns out you're not the next Metallica….

His only argument for once being "on the road to Hollywood success" was The Usual Suspects. But I found him distracting in that, and the one thing that doesn't put that up on my top movies list.

Well done, Bronsonman. As long as you keep the poison away from Gael Greene….

Yup, I was pulling for Wylie, and Graham as runner up, behind Jonathan. They seem like good and talented people. Shouldn't have left behind the gastronomic chemistry stuff, fella….

And as someone who also follows all the celebrity gossip, I always got the feeling that both Phillippe and Witherspoon were two pretty intelligent, normal-ish people. They got married a little too young (early 20's), and got divorced a decade later. Probably grew apart, just didn't change together.

Our local paper's Sunday Living section had a front pager on Ke$ha. (Accompanying article - a dictionary of hip hop. Sunday paper readers are so white!!)
