For fuck sake!
Ah Glen Hansard, the bono that never was. Seriously world stop paying attention to this guy, we've been trying to pretend he doesn't exist here in this country for over 15 years, please stop ruining that.

I started introducing my girlfriend about a year or 2 ago to more extreme types of cinema, now the roles have completely reversed and I'm just not up for it anymore when she comes home and wants to watch inside or audition or something like that. She watched Antichrist without me about a month ago and her response

I've only ever seen Breaking the Waves and The Idiots, both depressed me horrendously. Breaking the Waves is a particularly hard film to shake once you've seen it, I've had Dancer in the Dark sitting on my shelf for the last 3 years, but the only reason I haven't watched it is because I just never seem to be in the

What a scene, goblin ftw!

There are already reviews of the Descent 2 online, it's showed around at a few festivals, apparently it's just more of the same, with a lot less emphasis on the claustropbia that made the first half of the first film so effective, but not totally a letdown, figures.

Shit Towlie I completely forgotten I'd ever even seen Friday the 13th part 5, that's the one with the kids in the home right, I'd completely forgotten about the Tommy arc from 4 to 6 too, different actor each one and first played by a young Corey Feldman!

Ah that sucks, I was hoping it would be good. You should have finished the interview with that though.

If Tom Berenger came through your monitor English Bill, he'd probably just want a bite of your sandwich and some of your beverage, then he'd politely go back. Times are hard for the Berenger.

Jemaine is in Gentlemen Broncos that new comedy from the Napoleon Dynamite people.

The Episode with Carol Brown was the seasons best, Michel Gondry directed I believe, quite hit and miss Season 2.

Bitte Orca was a tad overrated in my book and a little boring, kind of prefer Rise above, even though certain parts of it are pretty awkward, awful even, just think it worked better as an album. Dragonslayer surprised me with how much I liked it, always a little lukewarm on Sunset Rubdown.

Seriously?
3 pages and not one mention of Boards of Canada?

Songs for the deaf is hands down one of the best driving albums ever. That is all.

Sonic Youth is a good shout. Begin any road trip with some early 90's shoegaze and it feel like you're in the credits for some early 90's teen horror/romance/er..movie?

Both Van Sant and Ellis have put out some dodgy shit, but they've made some pretty good stuff too(and yes even Ellis! American Psycho and Glamorama are fantastic), I think they're a good fit for each other and this shit sounds right up their alley, in a way I'm shocked we haven't seen a Van Sant Ellis adaption already.

Sounds like it could be a sub plot/spin off from Glamorama, which all in all is a pretty good read, if you can stomach Ellis that is.

It's pop anthropology for dummies, smugly packaged in crappy giallo/miike homage, predictable characters with predictable outcomes and little to no tension.

Have AV Club reviewed the Big Pink's album? Just can't get into them at all.

Chippendales drumming always reminds me of Zach Hill from Hella who I've always thought were just a more listenable version of Lightning Bolt. Also the new Battles shit is sounding real good, excite!

I'm too scared it will suck as bad as the late New Order did, so I'm staying away.
