I think Snatch Game shows how a good Drag Race contestant can't just be pretty, and how the deck is actually stacked against younger queens, who haven't had enough time to really mature and learn just from the world around them. Seriously, two queens were going to do Donatella Versace? Unless I'm totally missing some

So far, I've enjoyed Katya a little more in her talking head interviews than as part of the action. I thought she was great tonight, but either she's not bringing it, or she's not distinct enough for me to be remembering her.

Yes, the timing of the sketch was particularly gross, because of that Barbara Walters interview on Friday.

And all the $$ that went to scholarships for women following his piece on the Miss America pageant.

I almost yelled at the TV "NOT THE MOMMY BLOGS. DON'T DO IT!"

When the Narrator said a few episodes back that Michael never stops fighting for Jane or caring about her (sorry, can't remember the exact phrasing), I totally melted. And it's so clear in the acting, too.

She's like Jinx, but without the charisma, humor or versatility.

So glad Ru kept her for another week just to see her snooze through another episode before getting cut.

I think I still have half of The Bridge season 2 on my DVR. I just can't get around to finishing it.

I haven't been paying super close attention this season, but I know that The Bridge was renewed for season 2 kind of by the skin of its teeth, and that the live + 7 numbers factored greatly into the renewal of The Americans for this season. I sort of trust them at this point that if something wasn't renewed, it really

I saw Cirque's Zarkana at Radio City Music Hall a few years ago and was so impressed by the performances, but trying to follow the "storyline" sober was a huge mistake.
I think leaving the book and music to someone else is the best way to balance the insanity of Cirque.

This season is SUCH a big letdown after last year. I'm really bored by the young queens. They all kind of blend into one, pretty with nothing behind the eyes person to me. I mean, Jinx was young but she had so much fucking personality.

Which is kind of weird, because the prize is still so high. But the sponsors aren't as high-profile as they were last year, so maybe Logo is eating that cost.

This kind of makes me glad that NBC burned off the last season the way it did. It would have been weird if a love letter to Indiana were still airing right now.

He was on an episode of The Daily Show Podcast that's definitely worth checking out, if you haven't already. Really fascinating story.
I hope he at least sticks around as a correspondent (or even doing Lewis Black-esque drop-ins). If the show is taking a more international spin, it's definitely possible.

And doesn't Amy primarily live in California? I could see her not wanting to disrupt her sons' lives as a big factor in turning the show down. I could also see her wanting to follow her movie career for a while and having more flexibility with her schedule.

I HIGHLY doubt that this is something that they just decided on a whim. Poehler said no? Let's promote that new South African guy!
I think it's very likely that with John Oliver going to HBO and Sam/Jason going to TBS (and while it was recently announced, that had to have been in the works for a long time), Jon pushed

He may have been a contender six months ago. There's no chance in hell CC would have given it to him after the scandal broke.

Yeah, it's hard to make Boko Haram funny.

I don't get that from TDS myself, but the object of the takedowns can be more obvious sometimes than others. If you really haven't watched in 10 years, then it was still Bush-era when you watched. Obama being in office has definitely forced them to shift who they were looking at and how they were attacking them.
