I'm trying to think of other shows that had such consistent first seasons. I think the lowest grade this show has gotten this season was a B? I would worry about the ability to keep this up over multiple seasons, but I'm really not at all.

I think what's also hard for non-comedians is that their performance really relies on the quality of the writing for that week.
Some comedians and SNL alum can come into the Monday meeting with sketch ideas, or be able to really be able to work with the writers, but someone like January Jones will get a lot of

In the past, I've tended to enjoy certain episodes more than the reviewers, but then when I read the review, I sort of sober up a bit and realize where my love of the show was blinding me.
I'm not getting that at all with the Empire reviews. They all seem weirdly jaded, like Joshua decided that the show doesn't

I wish Jessica Williams had just another few years of the show under her belt. Her pieces have been pretty consistently awesome.

As much as I'd love more Last Week Tonight, I think the show is as good as it is because they have more time to get each show together and they don't have to churn out so many stories.

Yup, they offer an ultrasound and blood work, which doesn't guarantee Down's, but tells you how likely it is. Then you can do amnio if necessary.

Suck it, taxpayers!

I wasn't surprised at all when I heard about the article he wrote. I've read other articles where he spoke disparagingly about a project he was involved with. Someone upthread had mentioned him being very bro-y, and I think that has a lot to do with it. Sort of his repeated insistence that he didn't sell out, but the

She also had a really beautiful thank you to them in her book.

I haven't seen it yet, but I was just discussing this with a friend of mine who works with veterans, and that was her biggest issue. It really didn't do his PTSD/recovery any justice.

Oh, how I wish I was.

I see your Selfie, and raise you a H8R.

She really wasn't bad on Sons of Anarchy this past season. She wasn't a very big or emotionally heightened character, though, so it'll be interesting to see her in this world.

I watched most of the episodes on the USA website, and had to log-in with my cable info.
Viewing on DVR, On-Demand and the USA site would influence their decision, but nets don't make enough money from Hulu where it would tip the scales towards renewal.

1) Yep
2) Chopped Canada doesn't air in the US before Canada. In Canada, they may have grouped what the US is calling the first and second season into one, but they're the same episodes.

Tracy Bonham — Mother Mother

Jann Arden — Insensitive

Uh, that press picture is super hot.

I don't disagree with that. Just wanted to provide some possible insight as to why some people could have been upset. And yes, I'm being very kind by assuming that some people actually had a legitimate reason to be triggered by the video.

I read that this video (and maybe the song?) is supposed to represent her troubled relationship with her father, who had undiagnosed bi-polar disorder. Considering Maddie has worn a wig that duplicates Sia's haircut in these two videos, it makes sense to me that Maddie is representing Sia as a child, with Shia as her
