In the thread about her separation, someone mentioned Louis C.K. and while I am still hoping that she and Will will get back together (I'm a bit of a hopeless romantic like that), to me, her getting together with Louis is the only acceptable alternative.

For being a politician, his hosting stint on SNL was quite good. I was actually thinking about John McCain sings the best of Barbra Streisand last night.

I understand the concern about the moments in the show that are completely not funny — Ryan waking up in the middle of the night still, the montage from the pilot showing how each character is handling their "loss," but those moments still hit me emotionally. I'm absolutely okay with sitcoms having sincere emotions

I absolutely hated that plot. I'm liking the show despite myself, though. I think it needs to focus more on the relationships that work, and have this show be less of a half hour PSA.

Same here, except I'd swap out Danny Trejo and Happy for Opie and Chibs (it's that fucking accent).

Only if it's Patton Oswalt's bit about it.

ugh, I can't believe I'm trying to justify the horrible exposition of this show. I think the idea was that her go-to song would be whatever was huge over the summer. Although it still isn't very Rachel.

Re: Young Puckerman. He didn't put his last name on the sign-up sheet, and didn't give it at the audition (he refused to). So Will HAD to look at his file to find out. Although if you didn't know it by the slight resemblance, clearly the temper tantrum gave it away.

As a Long Island native, I was mildly outraged by that.

Holy fuck, that paragraph about Kate Hudson.

I can't believe no one else has mentioned John Mulaney's hilarious and totally spot-on Law & Order bits, which of course I can't find on You Tube now.
