I spent most of Christmas Vacation watching Asian stuff. For some reason Asian flicks almost make me feel like I'm discovering cinema all over again.

@FauxReal:disqus : The ones I have seen were pretty brilliant, so judging entire Korean TV industry after seeing them is like claiming that all American TV is brilliant after watching only The Wire and Deadwood. However, you could say that Korean networks treat their shows better - as far as I know, shows don't get…
I have watched some Korean dramas and so far I have found two truly great ones: Shin Don and Sandglass. They have fascinating historical background, epic sweep, three-dimensional characters and healthy dose of tasteful melodrama that is actually extremely heartbreaking. Really recommended for people who had already…
Why are reality show reviews the best writing o TV Club? I mean honestly, writing about reality shows brings the best snark out of AV Club writers (or, as in reviews Real World, snark mixed with nostalgia). I don't watch those shows, but those reviews are very entertaining.
Well, I am little bit afraid of Disney too because of the way Disney Channel seems to shove those pop idols down the kids' throats. Good thing that they at least have Phineas and Ferb, which is exactly the kind of cartoon I would like to grow upon.
Donald Duck comics! It's good to know that something I loved as a kid is actually good. It happens so rarely!
That was sort of badly done, hard to detect irony. I love Homeland for the fact that I can never be sure what Brody's true colors are.
Yeah, no one can be really evil. It's just like on this new crappy show, Homeland. Where are my moustache-twirling villains? I wish this guy Brody would simply admit he's a bad terrorist and start murdering people left and right.
Landry in season one was just the coolest, but unfortunately in laters seasons writers didn't really know what to do with him. At the beginning of season two they made a really bad decision about his character, and I suggest you should spoil it for yourself to avoid disappoinment.
I know, but it is only TV show I know of (except of Freaks and Geeks) that does in a truthful way.
Did anyone here watch Everybody Hates Chris? I think it was a really great, underrated sitcom - not only it had Terry Crews being hilarious as always, it is also the only TV show I've seen that actually captures how it is to be a loser in high school. In almost all of shows about teenagers even if one of main…
Hey Todd, this review was absolutely wonderful and hilarious and I don't even watch the show. Reviews like this are like Community, usual reviews are like boring sitcoms. They are like a light in those dark times, when he have to worry that Community might get cancelled!
I wish there was a "dislike" option for posts…
I always thought women are much more attracted to charisma and presence than looks. I don't know, I'm a guy and I have a little bit of mancrush on him, just because of his extremely powerful presence.
Ocarina of time is the best game eva… but I'm still stuck at that fuckin horse race! I feel like a total moron.
I'm a 19-years old guy, I live in Poland and I don't know ANYONE of my age who likes Justin Bieber. His whole audience seems to be 12-years old girls, and everyone else seems to hate him passionately. It got to the point that I defend Bieber on every occasion despite the fact that I can't stand his music, just because…
I don't watch this show, but I'm just very glad that it gives important roles to Colm Meaney and Chris Heyerdahl, two really good actors known for playing in geeky shows. Watching those two chewing the scenery in a western setting must be pretty fun.
I think that this whole idea of geeks being somehow morally superior to jocks is something geeks should grow out of at 18 or earlier. This guy is 40 and his entire worldview is based on that. Wow.
Everytime sometimes says something about hating Ryan Reynolds, some other person says "but hey, he was good in X". So it's not like the guy doesn't have any talent. Plus he's easy to confuse with Ryan Gosling, so everytime you see a movie with Gosling you can imagine that it's Reynolds. That will definitely improve…
Everytime I hear the name of late Gene Siskel, I can't help but think of Pharcyde' "Hustle".
