It looks like the vidya was removed from youtube on account of a copyright claim.

I laughed at that, because my nerd brain was inadvertently nitpicking "Where could this spaceship possibly go at sublight speeds?" right as the "1 month later" popped up. I almost said "That just raises further questions!" out loud.

It's funny, it also reminded me of The Fountain, and I really, really hated that movie. Yet I found many things to like about this finale. Keeping things so interesting for 6 years running a show on mysteries is harder than many people seem to be giving them credit for; ending it satisfactorily is probably close to

It's odd. For this show the reviews are always (relatively) the opposite of how I enjoyed the episode. It's consistent enough that I knew this review would be lukewarm, because I also laughed my ass off this whole episode. Kinda neat that apparently the show appeals to different senses of humor.

That last sentence was redundantly written with great redundance. Oh well.

I agree that the application of the "noble savage" epithet really is inappropriate here. Certainly the main layer of the story can be summed up as "Pocahontas in Space." But that summation ignores the largest irony in the plot of the movie; Sigourney Weaver's scientist telling the corporate dude the planet is
