I don't know if I've ever read a piece by Sonia before, but after this one it's hard to take anything she writes seriously. Even if "a show that launched six separate failed careers" is meant to be a joke (since failed careers mean you don't get work, and a launch implies they weren't working actors prior to the

You raise a lot of good points about a season that makes a lot of missteps Donna, but I wish you'd covered more of the beats of the two episodes instead of using most of the space to talk about the ridiculous dating plan even if it was worth the extended analysis. I guess I'm just bitter because of the lengths Todd

Cam: "You know I hate to stir things up…"

Thanks for the write-up. I know the show gets slagged around here all the time, and the finale was pretty lame for an already so-so season. But we need shows like Rules of Engagement, a series that was very upfront in its sensibilities: it just wanted to make you laugh.

No matter how many times they did it Farscape always got me crying like a woman over departures/deaths like no other show. I've got the fucking box set on a table, I know no one's gonna die/leave but these motherfuckers really know how to pull the strings.

Let me add this then because while the responses so far are all valid and make a sort of sense I guess I'm not explaining my issue well.

While I too liked this episode particularly for the character background reveals, I've been bitching for a while about dragging out reveals about the show's larger world, the relationships between the various races, etc. Last night I continued this complaint on GetGlue and got some feedback from fans:

Maybe no one else liked it because it's skipped in the write-up and in all the comments to this point, but I loved the ending action sequence. It's a perfect combination of cool and "generic action".

SPOILERS (that I was trying to subtly avoid)

I don't see a reset button. If you take Garibaldi's evolution at face value (attempting to avoid spoilers) Sheridan remains that righteous asshole persona for quote some time. But what is great about Babylon 5 is that the show allows us to consider a purpose to his behavior and whether or not it is justified or wrong

Great episode.

I like it. Smaller stories at the beginning can be fun. But I'm getting a little impatient with the world building. All the principles seem keyed in on all rots of stuff that seems important but they aren't daring with us.

Seems more like you're rationalizing not liking things that are awesome.

As someone who owns all iterations of Farscape on disc the Blu-rays are worth it in my case. There's certainly nothing wrong with the DVD versions, but the audio is noticeably better on the Blu-ray along with the wider color palette allowed by h.264 over MPEG2 and a general improvement in all of the darker scenes. The

Love this episode. Would like to give it an A but the voting is broken on the iPad again, can't select a grade.

Sorry, first episode I found boring. Things may have progressed but in wholly uninteresting ways. Snore.

Real good write-up and I agree with the grade but I think you're glossing over Bester's role too much. Thus and his earlier episode reveal a very different character in the Babylon 5 universe and Walter Koenig plays the part with a very particular speech pattern that really sells the character while delivering a

C'mon, nothing about Noah's painted-on six-pack? All the calendar bits, particularly last year's, were hilarious!

Yeah it wasn't great and missed a lot of opportunities but I definitely enjoyed it more than you. The Bobby voice overs/real dialogue bits were great, Grayson getting tortured is always great and the best use of "c'mon" in a while.

It was a fun episode but I don't think Castle has been any better or worse lately than in past seasons. For every great stride like the fulfilled relationship you have steps back like Castle never making fun stories out of the various steps in the cases and being reduced to occasionally making a quip or knowing some
