I guess I agree on the ballet part, but the rest is a huge racial/ethnic generalization. Also, Dude, Oriental is not the preferred nomenclature. Asian-American, please.

I wonder if some of the negative response to Jim is because his expressions (unlike his physicality) are small and understated. It may be that he registers better on camera than on stage. That doesn't necessarily mean his connection to his partner isn't tight, though.
Wow, I was just listening to the German and not looking at the subtitles at that moment so I took that to be the big reveal. Crazy that they messed that up! I noticed other instances where the subtitles spelled things out overtly where the German relied on you remembering certain information (e.g. Renate = "my…
At least boring Jeremy had the sense to enlist another powerful, unethical, manipulative woman to fight his battles. Rachel's mother's characterization has been pretty limited so far, but based on the show's work with Quinn and Rachel, I'm excited to see her fleshed out next season.
It's as if in the lead up to the big reveal of Schweppenstette being Martin's father they've been foreshadowing, they remembered it would have more impact if he seemed like an actual human being.
Ah, that explains why they have the best chemistry of any of the show's pairings. I'm totally shipping those two!
I had the same thought: Season 1 was created for Chad, Season 2 for Katya. Probably not that simple, but in any case it's about time for them to capitalize on how much we love all those crownless queens!
Agreed, it all felt too quick and too out of character. The only thing that made Rachel's actions somewhat comprehensible for me was the idea that she was calculating just how far she could push Mary with her ex based on the assumption that Mary was still on her meds. Rachel routinely plays a dangerous game, and not…
Thank you, Myles. I watched the whole season in about 5 days, but the quality of your reviews and the comments here in general kept me coming back even after I'd finished the season. It let me revisit each episode after I'd had a little time to digest. Bottom line: I really liked the daily coverage, and your coverage…
I was kicking myself for not seeing Leanne's Amish backstory coming. During the earlier German dialogue with Poussey, I was embarrassed as a fluent German speaker to have to rewind it a few times to figure out what the hell she was saying and still not get it. Samira Wiley's German isn't great, but it's easy to…
Varys' return was great, but it would have been even more fun as a Gene Parmesan reveal. A Son of the Harpy comes up behind Tyrion, the music gets tense and our hearts start to beat a little faster — and then the mask comes off and it's Varys. We laugh as Tyrion flaps his arms and screams with delight. That Varys! He…
The wights also produced some odd Lost-smoke-monster-like sounds on top of the usual Walking Dead wheezing
Myles, I had the same reaction to the Rattleshirt bludgeoning: way to dash my Mance Truther brains hopes, GoT! None too subtle, as with the Olly set-up as well. Still, excellent episode!
My big problem with Pearl's lip sync was that she was all on one level. You don't have to crawl on the ground or do a damn death drop — just show that your knees do actually bend.
As a sworn Mance Truther, I definitely noticed that the "Previously on Game of Thrones…" intro included a shot of Tormund emotionally looking on as "Mance" burned.
Rickon is just with Osha, Hodor is with Bran. Remember all the intraspecies warging?
The Heathers were sort of a villain team, though it was more ambiguous.
Alexis' butch Alicia Keys was a bit like that: full commitment to a character that had little to do with the actual star's persona. Not entirely successful but surprisingly funny and memorable.
I was really glad to see him back. He looks so much like the woman who plays Lysa, plus he's got the pathetic, petulant, simpering Sweetrobin stuff down.
It's definitely Maestro — he's a very talented singer and producer.
