When Bene said something about being glad he had made great friends I knew his time had come. Declarations that indicate you are going home on reality shows: 1) I'm not here to make friends; 2) I am here to make friends. Lesson: Don't talk about making friends!

Come now, must we make fun of such a gut-wrenching scene? I know it's a difficult time, but let's not lose our heads!

Do you think it could also have to do with how young the actress was at the beginning of the series? I remember reading somewhere that her parents would only let her read certain relevant parts of the book because they thought it was too adult. There's a pretty big difference between "now you walk by all of these fake

I had the same thought, but I realized, like Art Deco, that we'd just seen Qyburn at Harrenhal last week. I know they don't do a great job of making distances clear on the show, but that would have been ridiculously quick. Wouldn't be surprised if Littlefinger knew him, though.

When the other characters were pointing out the similarities between Barney and Ralph Macchio, my first thought was the it was a meta joke about NPH and Macchio as former child stars playing nasty versions of themselves. Not sure that interpretation works with the repetition of the gag, though.

Agreed, but was I the only one who thought that arched eyebrow at the end was a little much?

I see it this way: ultimately, Robb is both a Stark and a Tully. He feels the need to maintain his honor at (almost) any cost, and yet family has to come first, as in his pardoning of Cat. Turns out not to be the best combination, at least not in his case. It's like he got the tunnel vision of both without much by way

When it comes to huge openings, a lot of people think of Alaska….

I used to doubt that vegan baked goods could be delicious, but I have been won over too many times now to look back. I believe in Vegan Magic and I don't care who knows it!

Seeing Alan Tudyk rocking those hillbilly flannels brought back some fond Tucker and Dale memories. Too bad this show still can't quite figure out what to do with him, though his role has certainly improved.

In its own way, that seemed pretty realistic to me. Sometimes relationships just don't make the transition from long to short distance. It may take a while to figure it out or it may happen quickly, but it certainly does happen.

I have to say, I thought the writing on that scene was pretty good but the performances, especially Jemima's, fell flat. After her great performance in the break-up scene with Thomas-John I was all ready for her to bring it, but something about the scene left me cold.

I don't want to downplay her talent, but I could seriously just look at Kristen all day long. Somehow her imperfect teeth only enhance her beauty. There are some more glamorous pictures of her on the web that only confirm for me that the minimal make-up, androgynous look is definitely the winner.

Yep, he was Life Aquatic Guy to me in the early rounds, before I was confident I knew his name. I've definitely learned it since, though, and I'm not likely to forget him. What a sweet, talented guy!

This is not RuPaul's Best Martyr Race!

I just want to say that I appreciate your use of chicanery. Werk!

Genevieve Koski (Edit: How do I respond to Genevieve? I'm new to this. Sorry.)

The problem I had with "Torn" was that Lea sang it exactly like Natalie Imbruglia. It was too karaoke, with all the vocal ticks and everything. I love me some Sara Bareilles, but part of what made "Love Song" so good was that they actually made it their own.

Hmm, maybe more like historians who kind of just like to assert stuff. Depending on who you ask, it is either a cross-disciplinary body of theory that is extremely relevant on a global scale, or total bullshit. In the case of this guy's dad, it may very well be both.

I assure you he's both British and (half) Indian. He's the son of a very famous postcolonial theorist. He's lived in the US for a very long time now, but he's been fighting to keep that accent since he was a kid (I grew up with the guy, trust me).
