I usually can't stand the overbearing sappiness of Christmas-related episodes, even in a lot of shows I like. The show's clearly more focused on atmosphere and visuals than on dialogue and believable drama, but it's very entertaining nonetheless.

Get on with it
I wouldn't award anything higher than C+ to Dexter while Boringtista and Lag-uerta are alive. At this point their storyline already went from dull to revolting.
