Yeah they were both on top of their games, and Mike O'Malley should have also earned a look for his guest spot.

I liked that the poor bastard red shirt who not only got his arm and leg bitten off got crushed by a hammer head shark. A pun death the worst kind.

I guess we'll have to tune in next week. Those insidious bastards!

I also thought that was a not so subtle everyone in his department knows all about his life type thing. I mean if I got snipped everyone at my job wouldn't know about it.

No problem they were doing a lot of different things in the scene and the bomb tech guys were talking in those suits, but they had a plausible reason for it. And the reporter saw the wire as well probably why he didn't try and smash the windows himself.

There were wires on the windows (and windshield) the bomb squad guys said something like pressure triggers.

I thought the vaesectomy thing was to show that Ruiz bucks the traditional macho standards of hispanic males. Perhaps I was reading too much into it.

Anyone else watching it live laugh at the cool frost brewed coors light promo prior to the full commercial break in the dark scary FX voice guy.  "This incredibly depressing dark show brought to you by party beer."

I really liked this ep we had call backs to previous episodes and continuity (the ereps showing up in force at the end reminded me of the Voulge doing the same thing). Datak killing the colonel for treating him like a pet was a call back to the not a dog dialogue Datak had when the Mayor and Nolan came looking for him

I like Stahma too and her creepy smile (she does this uncomofortable mid conversation smile that just seems out of place like when she was talking Christy into marrying Alak). Just I could assume of the cast catching a bullet train to dead station she'd be a game changer a bit more so than Kenya.

You know honestly that was my exact thought. Brother can't catch a break. That's how you know its really set in St Louis.

I would guess Stahma by Kenya, possibly Rynn by Nolan as well (though Rynn is not really a main character at all, more like a Sukar more than anything else).  They could also have Rafe kill Datak or even more shocking an Unknown Assailant kill Mayor Amanda and then they draft Nolan into being Mayor (because fuck it

Well they did have Nolan's testimony (though it was a bit garbled because the court martial officer is talking over him) where he talked about being judged for killing people he thought were a threat.

Datak was banging the alien killer drum more than anything else. And seeing how Nolan and his law keepers have already previously interrupted a castithan ritual before it wasn't a hard sell to say "See he just hates us because he never left that war mentality".

Reading the defiance site it was great expectations Tommy was reading, weird choice.

I feel uncultured but does anyone know what book Tommy was reading to Irisa? I also like from his tooth pick tough guy act we can imply he's got a copy of cobra sitting on his shelf somewhere.

Have you not done a lot of the story line in the game? One of the later characters you meet and who has a prominent roll (Torg) is a sensoth.

Reading the defiance site they have some more filled out biography on characters, Tommy has a really sad back story.

Well he wasn't a very good card hustler if that makes you feel any better. I mean hell Nolan was introduced to the audience as a thief. I almost wonder what the original law keeper was.

I really liked how just about everyone wanted to kill Hunter, so instead of one obvious person who did it, literally the entire cast save Irisa and Nolan would have been an acceptable murderer.  Also because I recently rewatched Jusitified season 3 it was nice to see one of the minor villains from that season get
