*Spoilers*

"May you live to be a thousand years old, sir" has always been my favorite line of this movie. The intimacy of the lean-in is so perfect.

Any chance of having a Spoiler Section on this movie? I'd love to see it discussed in massive, massive detail. I loved it, and thought about it for weeks after seeing it (it's been out here in Australia for a while), but I still don't really have any clue what it's about. It feels like a real theme movie, but

Noel, thanks a ton for these. They look like a crushingly large amount of work (though it seems fun), but man they're great. Tons of good stuff on this one, and I still go back to look at the Scot Rock one you did a couple years ago. (The first dance at our wedding was to Orange Juice, which I found there, so cheers!)

from the even further future: FILM CRIT HULK has written what seems to me to be the authoritative guide to Mulholland Drive, which can be seen here:

'Moving' has my favorite throwaway joke of the whole season. "Obama?"

I saw Kill List in Melbourne a couple months ago, and have never enjoyed walking out of a cinema more. It's really difficult to talk about without spoiling, but the collective attitude of the audience was total astonishment. I really hope it's given a decent release in the States…

I'M GETTING A LITTLE TIRED OF THIS!
crazily, i think it's my favorite line from ghostbusters. he's so perfect, whoever he is.

saw it a few weeks ago here in australia, and the only noticeable thing about the 3D are the times when it's awful (ie the aforementioned palace scene, where odin is horribly out of focus). otherwise, it doesn't add anything. other downside: when you take the glasses off, you see how bright the movie should be.

see it on a big screen
it's a shame this won't play widely, and in the places it does, it'll be on small screens. i saw it at the melbourne film festival last july, and it begs to be on a big screen. awesome camera work in this, especially in the shots of the observatories. also is an extremely interesting thematic

such good stuff
man, i enjoyed this ep more than any normal fringe FOTW ep of the last few months. alan ruck was fantastic (between this and justified, it's a shame he's not doing more.), and his motivation was wonderfully done. i'm sold on the soul magnets too. belly's end always seemed abrupt, and this is a good way
