To be fair, I don't really think "goofy's" really the right term, as it was in-keeping with the rest of the ceremony, such as the miming industrialist, and the giant headed dancing punks. And it was all to do with context, the use of post-war dancing styles, to reflect a change in the country which led to the NHS…
