That's too bad, because the serial killers continue to creep me out (yeah, I can totally see Disney covering up murders to keep the customers coming).

Let me try this: My thinking is that Dee's outside-the-box thinking encourages Dream to also try outside-the-box-thinking and to do something he hadn't considered possible. (Although if I recall correctly, Dream and Death argue about whether Dream's choices were conscious or subconscious.)

I really enjoyed this book. My biggest problem with the ending, which I didn't dislike but seemed too pat (not exactly the word I was looking for) and while I didn't see it coming, I saw elements of it coming. Perhaps I am being too charitable, but I saw Reaver's relationship to women as a consequence of his becoming
