I have a bad feeling they were setting it up to be a different character, one whom you never really thought about needing his own bulletproof vest until they brought it up tonight. And, with all the A Hero Will Fall commercials, I'm starting to think Carter/Fusco are red herrings, Fitch and John are the stars and

There has to be Hiddlebatch/Cumberston slash fic out there somewhere. This is the internet, isn't it?

I don't know much about mythology, so it's all Greek to me.

I feel like they are doing that with Guardians of the Galaxy, a bit. Though, I can't tell you how much I wish DC and Marvel would do smaller budget flicks for some of their more cult characters. I'm thinking Squirrel Girl, Animal Man, Detective Chimp. At some point we're going to have to get the Monsieur Mallah and

I am agog. I am aghast. Is Vandermonde in love, at last?

Long live Print!

My parents didn't really restrict access to anything, pop culture wise. We had a Freddy Krueger themed sleep over for my 10th birthday and marathoned 1-4. The only thing I was ever not allowed to watch was, for some reason A Fish Called Wanda. It's been over two decades and I've still never seen that movie.

12 year old Hagbard found out that our local library had a very well stocked, relatively unsupervised magazine section that also happened to be next to a dime a copy Xerox machine. It's not Hagbard's proudest moment, but I didn't even have Usenet fanfic back in 1992. I had the library, a VHS of Die Hard paused at that

Yeah, but they've never had an issue with conflating characters on this show. I'm thinking specifically of making Wintergreen the first Deathstroke. I think Rochev is the red herring though. If Al Owal doesn't end up being Ra's, then my guess on the secret identities of Ra's and Talia are Yao Fei and Shado.

Also: Gaius Baltar as Shakespeare.

You always pay extra for that kind of access.

I've always felt that Hamlet, Macbeth and Lear form a trilogy about aging. Hamlet is about how when you're young old people are out to get you. Macbeth is about how when you're middle aged, you're out to get each other. And, Lear is about how when you're old, young people are out to get you.

Othello has Shakespeare's best villain in Iago, but Lear's death and the storm scene always get me. Also, can we all agree that Romeo and Juliet is the worst and their love is stupid and they deserved to die for being so stupid?

Let's just make this the "Regardless of Gender, Gender Identity or Sexual Orientation, I Think Everyone Is Kind of Attracted to Taye Diggs So Let's Voice Our Appreciation of Him Thread."

Taye Diggs is almost unnaturally handsome. Like, his handsomeness makes me doubt the reality of his existence. He's like the Jennifer Connelly of dudes.

Agreed. The Emily and Naomi story was maybe my favorite of any of the Skins series except perhaps Cassie and Sid, and Prescott was excellent in that part.

You sound like my college roommate when I got addicted to that one Danzig CD for a semester.

Wait, the supporting character of color doesn't have mystical powers that he uses to aid a white protagonist. The supporting character of color is a fully realized character, a freed slave, a wealthy man and full moral agent of his own who is a leading figure in a rebellion to overthrow a ruling white hegemony.

I used to love Candy Cigarettes. I'm guessing you can still get them at specialty shops, but I haven't seen them since I was 8 or 9. They just felt so cool!

I have a hard and fast one per Easter Season rule. They are so rich and so delicious, anymore would be too much.
