On Dec 21, my dad was dead for about 5 minutes. He has breathing problems and an arrhythmia put a burden on his heart it couldn't take, so it shut down. I don't really believe in miracles, but, the doctors, nurses and EMT's did something miraculous that day. Anyway, he was in a medically induced coma for about a week,

I thought she'd go back to working for J. Jonah Jameson.

No, Revenge is more fun to yell. Sabotage is more fun to whisper.

I loved the kids choir at the beginning. It was subtle, reverent, and a bit sad. They couldn't have not acknowledged the events of this week without seeming out of touch, and doing it this way felt very classy and very heartfelt. And then, having the kids come back to say "Live From New York"  felt like the perfect

I'm not a heavy drinker either. A 750ml bottle will last me months, which is I spend a bit more when I shop. I was a bourbon man for the longest time, which was my toe in the door to whiskey. I'm still super fond of Buffalo Trace Bourbon, which to me was the smoothest, most delicious Bourbon I've ever tasted. Sweet,

Is there a Single Malt Scotch thread in here? I haven't seen one. If so, I don't mean to step on any toes. I've mostly stuck with the sweeter Scotches, but this week I'm branching out to the Islays, which I hear are more peaty. Right now, I'm drinking Lophraig, the 10 year. I wasn't prepared for the level of smoke

I wanted to see Chevy Chase back on TV. But not like this. NOT LIKE THIS!

Actually, this was a pretty good amount of Chevy Chase.

I do not know why that made me laugh so hard. Maybe because I worked setting up LN interfaces for years at a previous job, but it was just such a weird reference. I scared my dog laughing at it.

Ron Swanson would love the place they ate at. St. Elmo's in downtown Indy. Classic steakhouse food, but done perfectly. Probably the best place to eat in Indy. Perfectly cooked beef. Also, their shrimp cocktail app is legendary, mostly for the in house sauce which will wreck you. You know, with all the other Elmo

It never fails to make me laugh when Luke goes into full Tea Party mode like tonight when he asked for Manny's birth certificate.

Yeah, excellent second season. The football sketch was probably the hardest I laughed at anything in a while. But, what really kills me about this show is when they try for something deep and they nail it in a way few sketch shows bother. I'm thinking of the "dookie" sketch and this one tonight with Peele and his dad

Fuck it, that fart skit had me rolling. Maybe I'm the lowest of the lowbrow, I don't know. But, man, farts are funny. Can't we just admit that as human beings?
