Well Eggers is god awful by almost any comparison(I just think all his writing comes off as whining). I'm not even saying the three have a similar style…but when I think of one, I tend to think of the others for some reason. No real classification system except how my mind works.

I hear variations of "freshman-dorm philosophizing " thrown around as an insult a lot. Does that mean that the person using the insult has at least gone beyond that level of philosophy in college, or what? Can someone point to instances where a musicians philosophizing(something they all do) is on the level of Hume or

I always tend to lump him in the same category as DFW and David Eggers, with DFW being the most awesome of the 3 and David Eggers being just god awful. Michael Chabon is right there in the middle like luke warm water.

I'd go nuts for a Terriers revival. I loved the shit out of that show.

For some reason Challengers was their first album that didn't take any getting into for me to really enjoy. Twin Cinema was the first I'd heard and it took some getting used to, but Challengers I just loved the shit out of from top to bottom(and still do). I really don't get the disappointment of it at all.

Anyone else find Sienna Miller to be an incredibly bland actress?

I loved this album from the first time I heard it, just something about the songs seem to click with me, probably my favorite of the earlier albums(with Automatic for the People being their overall best). Feeling Gravity's Pull is an amazing opener for an album.

I know its been said over and over that the show has to end with WW dying, but even with all the terrible shit hes done, im still rooting for him to come out of this alive somehow…

This and Lebowski are probably my two favorite movies of all time. Ben Gazzara sure knows how to pick them.
