Del and DOOM are probably my favorite hip hop artists
I'd never heard of MC Paul Barman, so I checked him out on youtube. My god, that is some of the worst shit I've ever heard. Its like MC 900 Foot Jesus, but even that is only worth listening to ironically.

They haven't had a good album since the 80's
Obviously they suck now, but Toys in the Attic, Rocks, Permanent Vacation and Pump are all really great albums. I can understand the hate for them now, but people don't even seem to give them credit for some of their solid work of the past.

Picked this game up on Friday
Been playing it all weekend. Its very very addicting. I wouldn't exactly say it pushes the genre forward as this review claims, but its definitely a game to get and enjoy.

I usually stick up for Dexter
But this episode was so bad that I just gotta vent. First off, my girlfriend hasn't seen the show since season two, and sat down with me to watch this episode, and I was embarrassed, several scenes came off as comical, and had her laughing.

He's like the big lebowski of serial killers. Lots of strands in the old duders head.

i actually own the first movie, not because i sought it out, but because i'm pretty sure I was buying a good movie, and on amazon they have that "people who liked this also liked this" kinda deal. And since I had heard good things about it, i went ahead and got it(I wish I knew now who had said those things about it,

True story about Rowdy Roddy Piper
My friend is a amature wrestler around here(DC area), and his little group hired Piper to do an interview and a match for a few thousand bucks(4 grand i think). So the group(KYDA) promotes the fuck out of it and sells out the venue.

Yeah, this episode had some of the best uncomfortable silences of any comedy. Crippled guy during kiss from a rose, the audience after(and during) the eagle song, and again the audience after rickety cricket gets cut. Pure gold.

Wow, I thought this was best episode of the season
I'm surprised no one else seemed to like it as much as I did. Maybe its cuz I used to be a big wrestling fan back in the day, but I thought everything really worked. Bucket of chestnuts, hulk hogans theme song, eagle song, sand in the eyes, this episode had pretty

Do people actually outgrow a horror period? I kind of think its more a case of horror being difficult to pull off successfully, so there are very few good horror books out there. Once you've gone through the good ones, you just lose interest, not really outgrow it. Every once in a while a new gem is released

Dude, the first chapter was the best part of the book, but that doesn't exactly make it good reading, or comparable to Amelie. It was still just passable at best and I would never waste my time on a re-read of it. Especially after knowing what exactly was going on there(which was even telegraphed in that chapter), the

Seems the consensus is that the first chapter was the best
Definitely holds true for me, I thought that the first chapter held a whole lot more promise than what actually occurred in the next 600 page or so of bloat.

House of Leaves is the obvious choice. True story here: during the reading of house of leaves, i was drinking quite heavily(lots of shit going on at the time, plus it was absinth), actually woke up kicking and screaming in the middle of the night, my girlfriend freaked out and ran to camp out in her car, and I was

We're on exactly the same page here
I posted in the other comments, but you hit on some things I didn't really have space to say.

The copy I have is from pocket books, and all it says it the first printing was 1980, seems like thats the only time they did any editing as well. Call me crazy, but when trying to build a scary atmosphere, bumping into a misspelling every few pages is quite distracting.

In the books defense, maybe I'd have enjoyed it a lot more if I were a bit younger. As a middle schooler I used to enjoy Michael Crichton novels, and wasn't much into critical thinking, but these days, shit like this really aggravates me because there are so many better books I could have spent my time reading.

God I hated this book…
First off, it was poorly written, he tries to make these weird similes that in the end just fall flat throughout the entire book. There were several times when I'd come across a sentence that really made absolutely no sense, and the book was riddled with grammar and spelling errors. He could

I have those figurines, but in B&W
And they sit on my bookshelf, yeah, im a dork, but fuck it, TMNT is awesome

Got it, goddamn she made me wanna stab her. Knowing she is fictional makes me hate her a lot less, now I just want to pretend to stab her.

I love me some faith no more too…
