I haven't read the Lyonesse books, but my dad (who introduced me to Vance) is a big fan and bought a copy of the first one for me a while back. Time to get it down from the shelf.

We lost Jack Vance this year. The pain could be eased slightly if one of the cable networks turned his Demon Princes series (The Star King, The Killing Machine, The Palace of Love, The Face, The Book of Dreams) into a series.
I will also accept an animated version of his Planet of Adventure series.
