I agree with all those- especially the A train ride to Rockaway. It's kind of surreal taking a subway train to a beach.

I think the Queensboro's nuts-and-bolts, utilitarian look is a big part of its appeal. It really distinguishes it from the generic Manhattan and Williamsburg Bridges. Then again, I am biased because I take that bridge to work everyday either on the train or the bike path (which is arguably the best bike/ped bridge…

To be fair to Noel, LGA to Williamsburg is an awful public transportation situation. The M60 bus to the N,Q, which doesn't transfer to the G, so he'd have to either get out at Queensboro Plaza and take another bus to BK. Alternatively, stay on the M60 and get out in Harlem to take the subway down to Union Sq, then…

I guess it's hard to accurately judge considering all he did on That 70s Show was sit there and wear sunglasses. At least Francis on Malcolm in the Middle was pretty funny for a while (before turning into a whiny bitch)

It's pretty bad when you're the less-talented Masterson brother.

@avclub-78c86aa171e1ab86948a7e10c471fc63:disqus I actually love Devil's Advocate too. I used Hackford because I was thinking of that movie. Again, highly entertaining but flawed and not really worthy of the Criterion treatment.

@avclub-78c86aa171e1ab86948a7e10c471fc63:disqus If you are arguing that "it's a movie movie, just go with it", then I would say it doesn't push the boundaries ENOUGH. The world of The Game seems very real, but then these absurd things happen.

I figured that's what you were aiming for but I would have gone with Dr. Strangelove or something that is widely considered primarily as a comedy.
