It took me until a few weeks ago to realize that no, (apparently deceased, as it turns out) actor Steve McQueen did not pull a Clint Eastwood and start directing critically-acclaimed films about difficult subjects late in his career.

Do you wield it while diving in slow motion, as the sins of the flesh explode behind you?

Presumably the popcorn subjects put the Jiffy Pop container over their head while they ate.

I assumed it would be some kind of updated motion-controlled system in the new one, maybe a moneymaking tie-in. "It's a Kinect system! I know this!"

Well the zombies have to eat somebody.

He can wear Bryan Cranston's Heisenberg mask while in public to restore Walt's good name with the neighbors.

This can still work, just have the ambulance come and revive Walt.

And then he went back to cosplaying as Timothy Dalton's character from Hot Fuzz.

The ambulance comes and revives Walt, after which he steals it and does a few paramedic missions before getting bored and leading police on an escalating multi-vehicle chase across town, culminating in his stolen helicopter being shot down by a tank round. That's a great point, I really like that interpretation.

Great ending for the series. In retrospect, it was less surprising how low-key it was. After the big collapse of Walt's world in Ozymandias (I think the look on Walt's face as he's collapsed on the ground after Hank's death is my favorite thing in the entire series), I liked how the final two episodes were more of a

I assumed Walt was just stopping off for supplies in Albuquerque on his way to eliminating everyone connected to Mr. Magorium.

For what it's worth, Gilligan et al. consistently refer to the new episodes with the season 5 numbering system in the Insider podcast that goes out each week. From all that I've heard, they treat them as two extended half seasons in all their discussions.
