The South Park two-parter where Craig is the mysterious key to save the world from giant live-action Guinea Pigs is a pretty solid example of this.  Just a nonstop string of hating the main four characters because they're always in some dumb adventure, and how much he wishes he could just leave and get back to school.

Amen to the short-form Palladium review, especially regarding the old Bio-E model of making cool mutant animals.  Once you're done building one you basically are staring down a gauntlet of a bad game system with no reason to advance (oh boy, 4% better at anthropology!).
