No kidding, and it's amazing how they spend millions, or even hundreds of millions, on these movies without putting any thought into doing something innovative. You want to remake Total Recall? Sure, whatever, go ahead. But at least make it interesting instead of 'guy in future gets chased, has to run away.'

It's too bad the Nice Guys flopped as I would have enjoyed watching another one of those.

What about a version where Central Americans are defending their village against murderous US backed rebel groups?

How does it hold up?

Jesus fucking Christ, in what city does this happen? I live in Vancouver where you would probably have the entire bus giving you a stern group lecture.

You filthy Burrite.

That sounds right. And then he comes out anyway in an interview and expressly mentions Peter in a way suggesting they were intimate.

I remember watching the pilot where he gets a BJ from a closeted gay actor right at the end, and I was mildly surprised something like that would make it on television. Then the ten o'clock news came on from the local affiliate and the lead story was the scandalous gay blow job we had just finished watching. I think

But the other guy, not Josh, discarded the map. And how would Josh convince the other guy to stand in the corner at the end? And why did they get lost and walk in circles despite heading due south? I don't know if it's such a good theory.

"The call is coming from inside the Mosque!"

The Kingdome didn't even make it 25 years before they tore it down. I can understand a stadium being crappy when it's really old but it really never had any excuses.

In an alternate universe the Beatles are being sued by the Bernstains. Or it could be something more incredible, like perhaps Ringo was a really good drummer.

But since when is an emergency alarm a signal that a madman is about to rush in and shoot up the place? How much time would that actually have bought everyone? Honestly, if you were in a theatre and the fire alarm goes off how long until the theatre actually empties?

I shouldn't upvote this, but…

So we're still doing this, are we? Well it's Sunday night so why not. First, your opening joke makes no sense. I was referring to you eating at Denny's - if I ate there I probably would have picked something even less reputable (Applebee's?). You can revisit my earlier comments about your intellect if you really want

Holy shit, you think words like derisive and invective are big fancy words requiring a thesaurus?? I can only assume you have to ask the waitress at Denny's for help with the menu.

I went to his website and he's a cartoonist for the New Yorker and seems to favor one-panel stuff. Out of all the cartoonists who have been featured so far he seems to be the first who uses the traditional newsprint style. I also love New Yorker cartoons, no matter how corny and groan-worthy, so I enjoyed his tumblr

So your bar for judging a comic is its similarity to Garfield? That's dire.

The thing about these comics is that they are created from scratch, probably for no money, at the invitation of the AV Club. So it's not like they are going to put the same blood, sweat and tears into it that they do with their normal material. It's fine if the punchline is derivative as it isn't supposed to blow our

Like the real Shia, you too are insufferably derisive without the wit necessary to make your invective tolerable.
