Proper nouns aren't bound by the normal rules of grammar so Batmans is right as awkward as it sounds. That's why Toronto's hockey team is called the Maple Leafs and not the Maple Leaves - it was named after the singular and if you did it the other way a single player would be a Maple Leave.

But the article with the condemnation of the fake NBC site clearly outlines the difference here - Nathan Fielder's thing is funny as fuck, while the fake NBC site was just a fake NBC site with straight faced misinformation masquerading as "parody".
