Oh goddamit. KES. .

Nearly anyone who's done a Play For Today has probably filmed at least one man with a northern English accent crying.

Is Ken Loach capable of making a film that isn't an exercise in overdosing on misery? I mean you're dealing with a filmography of unrelenting despair being inflicted on the British working class, with occasional breaks to inflict unrelenting misery on other people and cultures that goes all the way back to Cathy Come

IF there is one thing people are clamouring for it's more Mystique. Especially a Mystique who doesn't wear the makeup.

Everything else aside, it's a solution that borders on 'maybe a good wizard will appear and magic away the election' and people treating it like a viable path is pretty indicative of the sort of thinking that'll lead to two terms of Trump.

Kathy Rain I liked quite a bit but a good chunk of it is setup for a sequel that just isn't gonna happen and it's doing that Twin Peaks thing. IT's not quite as good as Blackwell as far as snarky girls investigating supernatural mysteries go.

Dishonored 2 felt so…slight compared to Dishonored 1 that it actually pissed me off a little. The hub had less going on and there were duller levels and while they included the witches they used almost none of the interesting witch gimmicks from the Daud DLCs. Oh the character swapping in and out was fucking fury inducing in DQVII.

Rockstar hired some black guys to black guy up dialogue the black guy dialogue.

Awkward Stepdad Pitbull would be one of those things that would either break a man or make him into some terrifying ubmermensh.

This, sadly, is also a description of Pitbulls semen.

Suicide Squad always felt like an off shoot of the comico/eclipse stuff more than anything.

Millar has great high concepts and no follow through.

Incongnito and it's follow up are some amazing Wold Newton stuff. Shame we'll never see a third volume by the looks of things. But well worth reading.

I liked Azzarello's run but it was very much a piece of late 90's vertigo dressed up as a superhero story.

I love the Incal.

I think the best explanation of why Risso's stuff works so well is that his characters look like they actually fuck. There's a meatiness to them that heightens the impact of what he's working with.

Riki-Oh the movie included what was probably the sanest part of Riki-Oh the manga and even what we were presented with was considerably toned down.

There was a period actual years were I was trying to recall the name of that goddamn movie and failing because for some reason I was convinced an ice hockey player was in it.

There's such a distinct yet unnatural aesthetic to his party guying that I am struggling to come up with any explanation that isn't some sort of curse or contractual obligation.
