Well, movies do it all the time (and I'm pretty sure GoT does as well) - there are plenty of comparables out there of trailer CGI vs finished CGI.

clara is clearly just emulating ace here

Dragon is probably still in post, no?

That's what I would expect - Flieger is a Tolkien academic (who has written some excellent stuff) and I'll probably buy it just for her thoughts alone.

Now, admittedly, I haven't watched PLL in about a year (though I've been reading recaps over at Vulture), but I tuned in to this one, and it was a really strange episode, just as you said. Parts of it were actually good and interesting, and Vanessa Ray actually was excellent, but still, really strange ep. Five year

His episodes of thirtysomething, also.

I had an Uber ride yesterday with a driver who spent the whole time telling me that I should watch House of Lies. It was weird.

Both Law and Order links go to the CI link, btw.

hey the animal is fictional, the death could be fictional too

EQUILIBRIUM

i like jokes about airline food :(

I really, really, really want this in my life.

This was actually a good idea, but it got progressively less and less funny (the John Nash bit didn't work at all). Kind of like an SNL sketch really.

Survivor's Remorse is actually really great: intelligent, funny, and digs pretty deeply into some fascinating issues. I'd recommend anyone to grab a watch.

I watched most of The Village. Dull barely begins to cover it. That show alternated between "boring" and "needlessly unhappy for no real reason." Moffat took an interesting idea and good character actors and made them play very over-the-top versions of other roles of theirs. Really not happy with that one.

This would have been more authentically Friday Night Lights if they had a moving camera shot of his hands while he talked with everything else in soft focus.

Oh, man, IRC channels. Haven't thought about those in a while.

8-Track robot would make a great gimmick account.

I've enjoyed this series - thanks! See, if authors put thought/interesting commentary into their GJI! posts, they would be worth it.
