Hah! For me she gave the best performance of the year in The Immigrant and the second-best performance of the year in Two Days, One Night! Eat that!

Yep. Right there with you on this one. (but, then again, I didn't really like Birdman very much, so I might just have a less emotional/positive reaction to it)

Both!

Beyond the fact that the studies referenced are over places as diverse as Australia, Canada, France, Mexico, and elsewhere* (with other available studies in a number of countries with packaging and also smoking decreases, like Brazil), it would take an incredibly convoluted argument to explain how plain packaging

"If you put pictures of dead bodies that were victims of lung cancer, 99% of people would still smoke."

Agreed with your thoughts on the direction in that Jimmy-Fiona scene. Finding my own words being the same as Debbie's and Lip's really hammered home a lot about the Fiona-Jimmy relationship and how the characters really feel about it.

"And how has Emmy Rossum not gotten an Emmy for this? IT'S IN HER FUCKING NAME PEOPLE!"

Yep. In a way, the music played as how it is "supposed" to go in Shameless (and potentially in Ian's head) and the sheer tragedy/fear from the audience as to what is actually happening is enhanced for that reason. Very dissonant and it makes everything happening all the more worrying.

It was an American Dad spinoff.

Casablanca :/

I absolutely love that movie and I have no idea why.

A Miss Fisher's Mysteries reference was not what I was expecting this morning.

Same. It was so much fun.

Yes, but I'm the guy who hates everything about the movies, so you probably don't want me on your team.

Yeah, I'd agree with that. I also wasn't a huge fan of the obesity panel, if only because it devolved pretty quickly into lame jokes and less coherent discussion.

This what my roommate and I keep thinking: the panels (with a couple of exceptions: the gay marriage bit wasn't very good because there wasn't much interesting debate) are often the best bit - for the American Sniper panel, for example, the guests he selected were fantastic (and they generally have been). Would love

my roommate and I spent a while debating whether or not to rewrite the geth heretics in ME2

FWIW, they love having huitlacoche as an ingredient on Chopped.

Sils Maria was fantastic. There's a good chance I'll see it again.

Agreed completely.
