Yeah, I had the same experience, although I think I might have hated it as a kid too.

Mother Night is my favourite Vonnegut novel. I had no idea there was a movie: I'll have to go and grab it.
It played completely fine to me, actually, which is wonderful.
their multiple-direction crossbow was the best
"I quite enjoyed this pilot, although it basically felt like 500 days of
summer crossed with HIMYM. It helps that the leads are so likeable- I
really felt their chemistry."
From the picture, Jake McDorman looks like Peter Krause with a fake beard.
Star Wars was utterly brilliant.
I'm pretty excited to see a P&F review. I love, love, love, love everything about the show. Used to write long-form reviews on tumblr, actually, but I have since become very busy (was thinking of returning because I finally got around to watching the incredible Star Wars special).
does Emily not know where she is?
This is how I felt. I think the POV is very interesting (and done in a way that's universal towards being an outsider/minority while retaining the specificity of the premise) but I laughed a lot less than I went "hmm, nicely played." I think I'll keep watching, though.
It doesn't really count, but Slings and Arrows always nailed their all-out Shakespeare bits.
I disagree - the last few seasons of the original were actually a bit of a return to form. Sisto/Anderson were a genuinely great (and fun!) detective pair, Michael Cutter was incredibly fun as a proto-Jack (while Jack-as-DA was always enjoyable) and
they found some really interesting plots to use. Even the middle…
I really hope they do, considering that *I'm* Indian.
It's ridiculously popular in India. I was actually first introduced to Friends there, because they have a ton of episodes in syndication (often partnered with HIMYM, interestingly enough).
That someone was George Lucas
Man, Hayden Christensen's line delivery is so…errgh by comparison.
"instead we get whole episodes about nothing in particular"
That's just a weird version of the plot of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.
A couple of the take-downs of this piece (I'm thinking specifically of the one on Vulture) really took umbrage to that bit, yeah.
Brilliant.
