Winter's Bone is a really great movie. I should mark it down for rewatch.

Terrell Owens and Carrie are definitely the best part of the show.

"Boolanie" sounds more fun, I think, heh.

This is weird, because normally I'm always behind you, Todd (we seem to have similar-ish tastes, I guess), but on this one, I guess, we watched it completely differently. As I think I've mentioned elsewhere, I love the political stuff (many of the sideplots, particularly around Claire, work less well for me, though

@avclub-2699a553580f039ce51cb742ed676ad2:disqus I've done that a few times since Gilmore Girls was canceled, with different friends and once on my own. I've found it's a bit like comfort-watching, being back in Stars Hollow/Chilton/even Yale with people I know and jokes I'll laugh at (and lines I recognize).

just since the other three have been represented…(really i'm probably #teamASP)

And as final proof I have waaay too much time on my hands, I've made a graph of the GPA (A = 4, A- = 3.7, B+ = 3.3, B = 3, B- = 2.7, like at my uni) of the four shows I've mentioned (Archer, Louie, Girls, and Enlightened): http://i.imgur.com/jvL4UdP.png

One last comp: "Louie" and its first sixteen episodes. Only one below a B+ ("Travel Day/South") and only one at a B+ ("Heckler/Movie Cop"). So if there's a message that the grades are sending us, it's that "Girls" is nowhere at all near as good as "Louie".

Another comparison: the first sixteen episodes of "Archer" that were graded here (this is a show I adore, if we're being accurate): four below a B+ ("Honeypot", "Skytanic" (!), "Swiss Miss", "Tragical History") and four at a B+ ("Archer" [the pilot], "Killing Utne", "The Rock", and "Dial M for Mother"). So very

As a comparison, "Enlightened", the show everyone seems to compare this show to (and a show which debuted at roughly the same time, so it's a reasonable comparison) had four episodes below a B+ ("Enlightened" [the pilot], "Now or Never", "Someone Else's Life", and "Revenge Play". It's worth noting that, excluding the

"Hannah's Diary", "Leave Me Alone", and "Bad Friend" all got below a B+ (personally I actually rated the last a C+ <.<) and "Weirdos Need Girlfriends Too" and "It's About Time" all got exactly a B+. That's nearly a third of the reviews for the show…

Agreed. This is such an awesome idea, an awesome cast, and I really, really want to see it right now.

"and the gladiator prison season of Prison Break—" aww man, that was awesome

Heat-Thunder is one of the most exciting regular season NBA games in a really long time. With LeBron in insane form and KD with a very reasonable shot at a 50/40/90 season, that matchup is (hopefully!) going to be really, really fun to watch.

I think this is pretty accurate. What I can say is that the political! stuff is really well done/incredibly entertaining, but I find that the narrative often falters somewhat when it decides to go elsewhere (including some random plotlines in various episodes which make no sense at all/are clearly giant wastes of

Kate Mara

A week ago, Bailey Buntain actually retweeted a tweet from someone who said that she should play a young Megan Hilty in Smash, so she's aware of this similarity, haha.

Yeah, I felt it was a B+ too…which isn't really an insult, this show has been consistently really good, and this felt like all of the other episodes, in that it was satisfying, incredibly funny, and also well-acted.

Apparently Emma Dumont is a talented violinist, so I'm just waiting until Mel auditions for the school orchestra to go along with her roller derby.
