if you are making a sci-fi film involving an alien invasion of a planet, with 70% of said planet's surface covered in water, then having those aliens be killed by exposure to water is a big fucking problem. willing suspension of disbelief requires at least an attempt at plausibilty. not mind-numbingly stupid…

stop-motion was the perfect medium for coraline. great movie. enjoyed the book too, and yes, the additional kid was handled well.
