Controversial comment alert:
I think Season 3 of Justified has been pretty entertaining, what with two baddies and clever intersecting plots and colorful dialogue and that cowboy quick-draw gun action that we've grown to love, but at this juncture I can't see Season 3 possibly topping the sheer greatness that was

Tom on Cougar Town is to Jerry on Parks and Recreation is to Britta (maybe Todd) on Community is to Louie on Louie is to everyone on Archer and Arrested Development

It's interesting how the horse race is at the center of each episode and yet it's the part of the episode that I anticipate the most. It lends the show a sense of gravitas, anchors the show…
It's kind of amazing how each horse race is subtly different from the other, we've had horses being put down, jockeys falling off

Yes Todd thank you for mentioning MAX RICHTER. This episode had plenty of other things going  for it, but Mann's inspired, breathtaking cinematography coupled with one of Richter's all-time best songs (On the Nature of Daylight) ever made for one of the most emotionally moving television sequences I've seen in a long

Great episode. A-

For once I think the grade holds up. Somewhat.

OMG Arrested Development. <3

God I love it when the comic universes of my favourite
sitcoms overlap and intersect

Town,

Yeah, they kind of sucked the fun out of Jean-Ralphio's character for this episode…

Notes:

I don't know why, but after ten years this song sounds so much sadder.

Questions. How many seasons does Homeland have in it, before it ceases to be creatively viable? Does it need to become a different show at some point?

Thanks, that was really informative! Yeah that's becoming a concern for me as well, but I'm hoping that the heart of the show shines through, because week in week out it does seem that these characters care for one another and want to be around, be for each other.

Pretty great episode that delivered laughs fairly consistently.

This episode deserves nothing less than an A. It's a solid A episode, through and through.

I think it helps a lot when the work they do on P&R actually includes Recreation. Not saying that they don't do work, but with these shows it doesn't ever feel like work has to be the main focus. But it's true that the season arcs on P&R did lend some sense of continuity and direction to what the show was trying to

Thoughts in point form
1. I think there's not enough credit being given to the idea of how colorful the show's sets have become. Seriously, everything was so colorful it looked as though Community was giving its spin on the Spanish telenovela. Plus it was rendered in a pop art aesthetic - see Abed's bubblewrap head -

Tonight's episode was pretty good.
