Firefall. My dad saw them before the were famous, while they were famous and when they played a really bizarre venue (a boat show? that can't be it) at the Providence Convention Center.
I can't believe that people would protect Firefall with DRM. The only people who'd want the song are aging baby boomers, and most of

Highly interesting. I bet it was caused by people like me who keep asking "Where's artist XYZ?" instead of fawning over memories of the artists you talk about. That's why this was a post script.

Post Script
You're doing a "bands i've missed feature". I'm beating a dead horse by asking you about Blur, so I won't. If you include them, please don't put "Song 2" as the song on the page. I hate it people borrow a Blur album from me and then return it, unhappy that it wasn't all songs like "Song 2". That song made

Remarks
I admittedly was one of many who'd dismissed Fountains of Wayne as some Raspberries qouting hitmakers because of "Stacy's Mom" AND Adam Schelsinger's Oscar-nominated "That Thing You Do!". Then I saw the video for "Radiation Vibe" on VH1 Classic 120 Minutes. That proved me wrong.

Most people say "Last Exit to Springfield", as do I. That whole fourth season is the best of the show. Season 8 was when the episodes started to decline in quality (though there were many funny ones) and after Season 15 it bottomed out to where it is now, when a whole episode isn't even good, only in bits and starts.

yes it is, that's what I was trying to say. You see, if that album had done as good, they wouldn't have ended the same way that other bands in their genre did. I always thought they were a parody or at least that's how they were sold as in the US.

He's a few more
The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses
Anyone who says they liked "Second Coming" is a liar, liar, liar, liar, liar. The fact that they decided to break up after it was pretty much for the best

no. Aside from the Todd Terry mix of "Missing" not much else by the band got any play here in the States (the song did hit #2 though, that should be some consolation). The only other song to hit the Billboard Hot 100 was "Wrong" which hit #68.

The Faint
I like them quite a bit and thought you'd at least have a stray track (maybe "Your Retro Career Melted" or "I Disappear"). Oh well, there's still many, many Saddle Creek bands left.

yes, it promoted that movie, but question: did that make the movie a success? no. Instead David Arquette now has an achievement that (in another, better promotion) Mick Foley also has. And that's enough for it to be included.

A few more….
The Violent Femmes on "Sabrina: The Teenage Witch". I bet Gordon Gano really regrets that one.

they should actually be focusing on the irony that the singer's dad is a prominent Christian painter.

Indeed they do put on a great live show. They also do a great cover of Jim Carroll's "People Who Died" when they play live.

Ah….but we will hear about Phish, right?

I saw them twice. Once with Regina Spektor opening (that was a great show) and the other with the then exclamation-laden Panic! at the Disco just as that one song they do about the god damn door was becoming big. I don't know why Amanda Palmer likes Panic, but I like them a little bit just because she does.

Go with "The Dirty South". I got into them when a friend of mine played me "Danko/Manuel" and i've liked alot of their stuff ever since. I didn't care alot for "Blessing" outside of "Gravity's Gone" (which is a top notch song all the way through).

Another Obligatory Response from that One Poster who won't shut up about Blur
Nice to see some moderate coverage of the Drive-By Truckers. I could never get into alot of music in the neo southern rock genre (except for maybe Kings of Leon. I prefer alt.country to neo Southern Rock, despite the fact that the two are

Miller, you're thinking of "Pressure Point" which is pretty good. They have better songs

Blur. You really, really, really need to talk about Blur. I know you couldn't think of anything to talk about, but they need to be talked about. I personally liked them more than Oasis because they never dipped drastically in quality like Oasis did.
