This is Lawrence, Lawrence Kansas. Is there anybody out there?

I too have used one of my final comments to refer to said abomination!

WKRP in Cincinnati sucks because it told jokes and didn't interrogate gender norms.

I'm with you on all of those and especially LCD Soundsystem! Their music's bland and their irony's trite.

This feels like that scene in Threads when the bomb hits

I can't stand up and I can't sit down
'Cause a great big problem stop me in my tracks
I can't relax 'cause I haven't done a thing
And I can't do a thing 'cause I can't relax
Independence Day

Poehler would be an excellent choice, if only because it would acknowledge that women have been carrying the show for most of the millennium.

As far as I'm concerned giving Rylance the Oscar was like giving Andrew Wakefield the Nobel Prize for medicine.

Yep, two episodes in the first season. Played a patient who sang all the time. Never had a scene with George Clooney tho.

Looks like I have time to get one more comment in before Kinjapocolypse. And it's kind of poetic because I began my AVC commenting career in a Saturday Night Live thread and now I'm ending it in one.

At least you'll still have Boswell to upvote your comments

I don't even OWN a Facebook!

And John Dryden's version of A&C, All For Love, is even worse: the action of the play takes place in one day, even though Antony travels back and forth from Rome to Egypt!

I lost a dropbox account that way.

It has. The election hurt, but I think things like essentially ending things like the Monday Inventory and TV Club classic and the increase in rote thinkpieces (Why [is/isn't] [gender/class/race/politics/the timeframe of a fantasy show] a problem in [pop culture artifact]?) has frayed that community spirit.

Because it's paint-by-numbers prestige TV and there's really not a lot to say about it.

Try to figure out the timeline of Othello. It's a mess, but one of the cornerstones of English literature.
