Asking Veep to have any understanding of real-world American politics is a mug's game. It's a great show anyway.

This was a stronger episode than almost anything post-President Selina even though it was pretty much just setting the table. Bored post-prez Selina is closer to the early spirit of the show, which is A Good Thing.

For every 'inaccuracy' Earle found in Azzarad he added six of his own. Earle's book on Husker Du was horrible.

Bring back Pierce! All is forgiven!

That's the worst thing I've ever read. To wit:

No politician is an expert in everything. If they make sure to staff well they're fine.

This is true, but I do think the DCCC (not the DNC, which deals with presidential elections) needs to stop thinking like that. The money would not have swung the election, but it would be a nice boost to Kansas Democrats, who are scattered and demoralized in a state that honest-to-god should be swinging back blue.

IIRC the AVClub writeup on this year's induction took some gratuitous shots at Yes.

Not Another Au Revoir Les Enfants Parody XXX!

I don't want any of the artists getting in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame because the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame doesn't deserve them.

I'm having trouble thinking of two Republicans who would oppose the nuclear option. If people like Graham and Hatch–the Senatorial old guard–are for it, I think it passes, and I've seen nothing to think they won't drop the bomb. But I guess there's still a chance that, now faced with actually needing to trigger the

No; those rumors have been around for a long time, and in any case I don't think CK's important enough to need to ratfuck.

Who's going to start a feud with Cena when by interrupting the wedding ceremony? My money's on Owens.

There should absolutely not be a second season. Let a good thing be!

I hope not. This was a pretty close to perfect series. No need to continue.

Breaking Circus were the greatest, but I assumed they and they other bands you mention were a bit too early for this article. But then they did mention Naked Raygun, so why not dig a bit deeper?
