'Unquestionably the greatest book ever.'

Also, 'X' because of evolutionary psychology. I think part of the TED manifesto is that everything can be explained by evolutionary psychology.

Thing is, PBS gave the 9:30 Club show a big push with a lot of advertising, including network previews that aired fairly widely. If it's not being picked up I think it says more about who's watching and contributing to PBS rather than PBS itself. Indeed PBS has tried to give contemporary music a platform before with

PBS is airing a show with performances from the 9:30 Club in DC that looks pretty good, but I haven't actually seen it yet.

Gilbert Gottfried's photo with Wilder and Pryor is amazing. I bet he has it framed in his living room, and if he doesn't he should.

If you can't laugh at the Puttin on the Ritz scene (or any of Young Frankenstein, honestly) you are a replicant. RIP Gene

Interesting to watch 80's WWF to see how often Gorilla Monsoon (RIP) used the phrase 'Pearl Harbor' as a metaphor for 'sneak attack'.

"I love . . . [p]udding…"

Fuji may never have had a stable like the Heenan family, but he was the perfect guy to help get Demolition over.

Seriously I just watched Fuji Vice this weekend. Don 'The Rock' Muraco makes Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson look like Olivier in comparison.

I blame Maher for Couler's career, and Michelle Malkin's (although Malkin's profile seems to have dimmed recently).

I'm going to save this message and give it to my daughter when she goes off to college. Thanks!

– Agreed, Nader certainly did not spoil Ohio in 2000. But it also went for Bush in 2004 (no, I don't believe the voter fraud stuff) and it's still solid red in off-year elections so I don't think it's quite right to characterize it as a state Gore should have won. Could have won, yes, but elections are tricky things…

TAKE THAT LIEBRAL MEDIA

1) Looking at 2000 as a once-in-a-century event is the wrong frame because a) that one time it happened resulted in Very Bad Things; it only takes once; b) after the post-1994 partisan realignments every presidential campaign is going to be close, so third parties will more frequently be potential spoilers.

1) I don't think it matters whether or not Nader 2000 was 'an unusual situation'; it's an event that actually happened and caused great material harm to the nation, and it's absolutely repeatable if an election is close.

Oh yeah? I find YOU shallow and pedantic!

Scramblin' Fran, fumbling the ball again. Sad!

Well, still doubt: Portman is looking pretty safe in OH and Mark Kirk seems oddly resilient in IL. And I think generally the RNC will shift major resources into senate races. It's starting to look like Hillary will win but I'm less convinced about the senate.
