The gold standards from TV past in this area would be WKRP & The O.C.

After that match ended I was curious just how long it was and thanks to the miracle of DVRs I quickly found it went about 30:08, so a time-limit draw (or, given that it was already 11:15pm, Cole pulling a Bill Watts "We're out of time! Tune in next week!") would not have been out of place.

I pretty much have the single word "compartmentalization" tattooed on my brain as a guide for living thanks to those fellas…

On a related note (since I watched season 1 this way) - does anyone know what is up with Comedy Central episodes streaming anywhere? I watched this and some Nathan, Broad, Amy, etc. on Amazon Prime but they apparently all got yanked at the beginning of June. Did Hulu or Netflix get them?

My username is biased but I believe the Mars Classroom album may be about the best thing he's ever done…Moses on a Snail is big winner too

And the mom (Topanga) is pretty milf-tastic but is rarely used, as she is off lawyering all day and mostly just interacts with their little boy (bet you didn't know they had a 2nd kid!) in evening scenes in their apartment.

Actually, Dog With a Blog is kind of equivalent to Good Luck Charlie on the quality scale….that one doesn't get "why are we watching this AGAIN?!?!?!?" reactions from me…..

There was a guy who showed up on the Christmas episode that I think they said was Cory's brother but he seemed to be around high school aged - Maya (Cory's daughter's best friend) was drooling over him and since she could pass for 25, it didn't seem all that weird/inappropriate. Was he a baby in the original series?

I probably have a unique perspective on this among commenters here – to me William Daniels is Dr. Craig and only Dr. Craig, Cory’s dad (?) is Roger Lococco from Wiseguy, and Eric Matthews is the guy who made the “Cosmos” album with Bob Pollard. I never saw BMW, but I have an 8-year old daughter who loves all things

Last May Mad Men ended and I was all "I have to wait 45 weeks for a TV show with as much existential angst as this?" And then in August Netflix launched Bojack Horseman. I was not expecting to find in a TV-MA cartoon about a washed-up talking-horse sitcom star the same level of recognizable self-loathing, clinical

Being an AT&T U-verse subscriber, the only thing I don't like about MeTV is that they do not have an HD signal. U-Verse puts all standard channels as 2-999 and all HD channels as 1000+the standard channel number. Since that is the only channel I'd watch that doesn't have an HD channel number, I never think to look

Outside of all the other problems others have pointed out here that I'm largely in agreeance with, what about the door to Carol's house? Honestly, you have the opportunity to play the "McMansion" card and have Phil (or, in a moment of character-building competence/opposition to Phil, Melissa) get a hand truck and

Wow….I so loved Buffalo Tom back in those days…their first four albums are just a perfect example of a band figuring it out and getting better every time, until “Big Red Letter Day” is just an 11-song assault of amazingness.
Back then, we didn’t knowin advance like we do now when, say, every GbV fan knows to watch

I never noticed that either until the Kid Rock song, but I wondered if others had noticed it back in the late 70s, given that on his follow up album Zevon had the song with "Sweet Home Alabama; Play that dead band's song" among the lyrics

Am I wrong in thinking that in addition to the pizza/abortion episode, there was one where Kramer was dating someone (Kathy Griffin?) who had a pregnancy scare and at some point Jerry nonchalantly says something like "oh come on, you've never gotten a woman pregnant before?" And the episode (which I don't believe was

I have not seen it in over 20 years, but "Things Change" popped into my head when the writer described State & Main as his only flat-out comedy.

He'll be at the chicago festival (drumming for Bob Mould) and Denver festival (with Superchunk), so youneverknow…..

Between this and Art Linkletter's plea for his drug-addled teenage daughter to come home, the late 60s Top 40 radio must have been swingin' with these top 10 hits.  Hopefully some young wisenheimer has done some nifty auto-tune remixes to these and that Byron McGregor "Thank You America for all that you do for the

Believe me, I appreciate knowing this exists and getting it into my head to see at some point.  Thanks for writing about it!  In looking up stuff about this show I was kinda surprised to see that Don McKellar is apparently only an actor in it and not one of the creators…off to see if you guys reviewed his TV show

So of course you run this piece on a show I've maybe heard one mention of in my life before today….2 days before it gets dropped from Netflix.  So "thanks!" and "grrrr…" simultaneously.
