I really want to have the "who would win" conversation right now. Meet me at the pub — and bring cogent, well-reasoned arguments!

Chief, if I were surrounded by eight or ten of these things, would I stand a chance with them?
Well, there's no problem. If you have a gun, shoot 'em in the head. That's a sure way to kill 'em. If you don't, get yourself a club or a torch. Beat 'em or burn 'em. They go up pretty easy.

Obviously, the AV Club follows them.

I was not aware of "Walk On Gilded Splinters" until today. Amazing! Thanks for that, Rabin.

I didn't realize that berth would be the proper word in the sentence: "nation that berthed it." I always thought it was "birth."

That was a nice touch. The one shambling up the road in the distance was creepy.

Lemon Party!

I used to avoid TMZ, but now I kind of like the show. Some of the people on there are pretty funny.

What was wrong with the Matthew Broderick one and how would you fix it?

I'd like to think Tyler Perry fans ended up watching it by mistake.

I wouldn't recommend even Melancholia, but that's mainly because I resented the selfish and depressed protagonist who apparently lives a life of luxury. Didn't make it to the end despite multiple attempts. Just one man's opinion, of course.

My wife is in human resources and once got a cover letter from some student that referenced G-d. She thought the kid actually include god damned as an adjective in his application. I was able to come to the kid's defense despite being Goyim.

He's unflappable!

Could they be writing Goggins out of the show? I certainly hope not, but it would be realistic for a guy like that to get killed, I suppose.

Thank you , India…

How come banal doesn't rhyme with anal?

I feel like The Twelve is shaping up that way too. I'm not completely finished with it yet, so maybe I should reserve judgement. I still feel like if the Crossing were wrapped up in one book, it would have been much better. The same-ness of the repeated interactions with virals starts to lose much of its original

It was mediocre, to say the least. I feel like I spend too much of my reading time on books that just are not worth it. I gave up on the Wheel of Time long before the end. Still wondering if there is a truly great series out there — a completely published one so I don't have to wait. Maybe I should stop trying to

As someone who cashed in all his dreams for a pathetically paltry sum, I take heart knowing those who pursue a life in the arts often end up not making money. That value meal is going to taste even better tonight!
