In the book it's explained why they can't do this. Don't want to get into it in case it's a spoiler for the show.

Loved this book, looking forward to the show. But, um, yeah, "open-ended series"??? I'm pretty sure that spells "after a while, it'll suck, but we'll beat that horse 'til it's double dead."
My lurve for this movie knows no bounds. "Let's meet at the thing by the place where we went that time."
I had a standing Friday night date with Vincent/"Beauty and the Beast" back in the day. Of course this was before I got old and got some tattoos and became all badass with my standing Nick/"Grimm" date.
Anyone else see Renard eclipsing Nick as the main character? He seems so much more interesting, and Sasha Roiz is a commanding actor.
I do love me some hunky Ben Affleck but I thought he was pretty weak. Not sure if it was him or the material, though.
"Ooooh! Camel boobies!"
I thought this episode was two tons of fun. Because FIRE MONSTER! And because I have no caring about the total lack of logic of this week's story. And yes, that one eye at the end - excellent.
