Oh yeah, every high school breakup (and even a few from college if I'm being honest) was soundtracked by All/Descendents.

I heard All first (around the time that Allroy's Revenge was released) so I've always kind of preferred them for nostalgic reasons, but I think The Descendents are undoubtedly the more listenable band.

I believe AV Club policy dictates that the F is reserved for movies so terrible they're almost worth seeing, while the D- is just flat out bad and not worthy of the extra attention an F would draw. F is the "worse" grade, but D- is far more insulting.

Juicy burgers, greasy fries, turkey legs with raw fish eyes!

I almost didn't read this Newswire because I thought it was only directed at Hat.

You're dethpicable.

I'm glad to see Camryn Manheim working too, but I let out an audible "awww no" when I read her name here. She's too good for this trash (not that Virginia Madsen, Daryl Hannah, et al aren't as well).

I like 'em too… not really knowing what the writers actually look like (other than Nabin and Genevieve) I'm not going to comment on their accuracy, but they have a nice, loose feel to them. I might have dialed back the grey colour wash for the shadows a bit but otherwise think they're cool.

Aw man, I can't say I've seen those.

I grew up in South Etobicoke (Kipling and Lakeshore area) and I still have a few friends down there and yeah, it's crazy how much it costs to live in a shithole. Granted, they've done a lot to clean that neighbourhood up recently but it's still far from a good area.

Or, you know, the first Deltron 3030 album.

I may have been really drunk every time I ate there, but the best burger I've ever had was in a phony Irish pub in Hamilton, Ontario called Slainte (actually, I guess it's less phony than most –  the stones and timber were allegedly shipped over from Ireland and rebuilt as an exact replica of a pub back there. I don't

I've always had a fondness for the moose. Outwardly intimidating and homely, but shy and strangely beautiful. Also, I like wallowing about in the water and knocking trees over.

I've been seeing the same damn heron every morning on my drive to work for like three years now (well, he takes off for the winter, but early spring to late fall he's there).

I know an actual Thor and he's a fucking cock, so I'd say you dodged a bullet.

I'd recommend a short story collection (don't know why, but I always associate short stories with vacation reading). Skeleton Crew and Night Shift are both pretty awesome.

I'll probably be censured by the other Canadians for leaking this information, but you need some Tragically Hip for any successful road trip. Anything from the Up To Here to Day For Night period should suffice.

I'm confused…. that implies there are games that don't involve drinking?

Fuck, I love the drum sound on "Evil Thing". It's so crisp and punchy sounding… Rick Rubin really knew what he was doing back then.
