In one of my daughter's Sesame Street books there's a bit where Oscar is encouraging some garbagemen (garbagemonsters?) to really crash and clang the cans (IIRC in the illustration he's helping by whacking one of the cans with a length of pipe) and every time I read it to her I think about this album.

That's kind of my take on it too… on the rare occasions I've listened to DM, my head tells me I should be loving it, but my heart and my balls just don't give a shit.

"useless"? The Colonel would like a word with you…

Weird or hard?

You know who's got a great John Houseman name? Alec Berrrg.

By the way, CC… I made an addition to the Pina Colada song thread this morning. Still going strong!

I'm at work now and can't access Youtube or anything fun, but allow me to Google that for you:

Yeah, my cat walked in on me before and just gave me this look… but you know what? I caught him "cleaning" himself (he was being VERY thorough) so he can fuck right off.

I don't know about that, but I watched a couple of guys dancing in a zebra costume this morning and I've been giggling ever since.

So is this where we talk about Savage Love?
That dude was trying to fuck his cat, right?

In all seriousness, The Rolling Stones.

Yeah, I kind of loved that movie.
Granted, I was whacked out of my mind on cold medication and fighting a dangerously high fever when I saw it, but I laughed my fucking ass off.

I kind of get what you're saying… most of my Hüsker Dü exposure was through second or third generation taped copies of their albums (played on a shitty Walkman or a shittier car stereo) so I don't even know if I'd love them as much if they actually sounded good (it'd be nice to have the opportunity to find out though).

Yeah, but at least he made up for his rotten childhood by sleeping with Claudia Schiffer.

Liking because no one EVER mentions that band (and they should).

You've obviously never heard "Clap For The Wolfman".

Definitely "best". He's got the cure of which you're thinking.

Yeah, I loved the shit out of this song the first time I heard and grew to hate its time went by and heard it 18 times a day.

I only like the version from Al TV with fart sounds added to all of Stipe's weird-face-making and awkward squatting.

At least MTT is legitimately hateable… I find it way funnier that we all hate Yee Yee for apparently no reason at all.
