Oh, I don't need to "imagine" that.

Either that or this whole "AV Club" is in your mind as you lay dying in a battlefield hospital.
Noted.
Has anyone else seen the Mini Wheats commercial using that song (for a new flavour of mini wheats with some kind of filling in the middle)? Who the hell thought that would be a good way to sell cereal?
I think I've mentioned this around here before, but the Bernardo and Homolka stuff hits really close to home for me (and I studiously avoided reading too much about the case once the publication ban was lifted).
Marzipan is only acceptable when shaped like a pig.
I think it was worse than that.. as I remember it, Ren BITES the pimple on the wrestler's toe and it explodes.
@avclub-df80f70f60b1c678f8c91696f4a54f5f:disqus I thought it was the right to go to work dressed like Dennis the Menace?
@avclub-a8cf86b7e95be74b1204e22a9aab9cd0:disqus Not that weird… I saw Napoleon Dynamite years after Gummo (which still stands as one of the most unpleasant movies I've ever sat through – that shot up top of the kid in the tub kind of made me nauseous just now) and I think a lot of the reason I didn't like ND was that…
Eye injuries are bad, but for me fingers are WAY worse… I had to leave the room during "Syriana" when Clooney's character was having his nails pulled out and I remember a scene in "Bound" where a character is being threatened with a finger-cutting (using wire cutters) that I had to skip. I even get queasy in…
I honestly intended to watch it just for Jeffrey Tambor but forgot all about it until right this minute. Hopefully it sticks around long enough for me to watch at least one episode before getting cancelled.
Is it just me, or were Illeana Douglas' nipples FAR more distracting than her orange tan in this episode?
I'm pretty sure Moe Berg and Stephanie March were separated at birth.
My take on it (and this might be skewed since I haven't rewatched Cabin Boy in probably at least 10 years) is that Chris Elliot's character is kind of a proto-Buster Bluth… I don't know, there's just something about their naive, sheltered, weirdo personae and mannerisms that strike me as being very similar. I mean,…
I thought you were talking about me for a minute and i thought "Hey, how did he know about my two massive heart attacks?"
I didn't realize how much Letterman had aged until I saw those stills up there. Then I realized this movie was made almost 20 years ago. Then I looked in the mirror. Then I cried.
OK… I'll accept your rationalization, but only because of your Billy Van praise.
* Pushes glasses up on nose *
In case you're interested, I just saw the documentary "Bloodied But Unbowed" about the first wave of Vancouver punk on TVO last week… keep your eyes open in case they (or whatever public broadcaster is in your area) air it again. It was a really great look at DOA, Subhumans, Pointed Sticks and a lot of others.
Thanks… I was sure it was The Smalls until I saw someone else mention Slow below and started to have my doubts.
