I haven't decided yet if I love it or hate it, but the Black Bananas record is definitely worth a listen if you like noisy what-the-fuckery.

You've gotta listen to the notes he's NOT playing.

I've shilled for this dude before, but his advice columns are super-funny:

Ha! My wife and I were doing bad cockney accents and saying "Guvnah" a lot every time she got up to speak.

My issue was never with the "hatefulness", it was the petty childishness I couldn't handle… in every episode I saw (which, to be truthful, was probably 10 or less) the central "problem" could have been resolved at any time if just one of the characters had behaved like a fucking adult and spoken their mind. Instead,

Organized Rhyme weren't a "fake" rap group… they were just a nerdy, funny, Canadian, white guy rap group.

My mom ALWAYS has one of those in her purse in case of rain.

I'm only semi-familiar with this guy but I like what I've heard and this was a really endearing interview… I know "Shoot Out the Lights" gets mentioned a lot, is that the best place to start?

I didn't notice the byline right away but when i got to "Rube Goldberg Machine" I knew. I knew.

Cider House Rules wasn't bad (at least it had Dewey from Malcolm in the Middle in it), but yeah, Hotel New Hampshire was pretty fucked up and the less said about Simon Birch/Owen Meany the better.

Unless you're being sarcastic, I've never heard from anyone else who even enjoyed Water Method Man in the slightest… but I really loved it.

I think it was Louise

For the record, I"m not taking issue with someone being a fan of OLP… to each his own, and I'm sure a lot of the music I love would garner raised eyebrows from people around here. I'm just amazed that Wilford hasn't met ANYONE who hates them, when the singer's voice is incredibly divisive (i.e. grating).

Fuck yeah

Why didn't anyone ever adopt that dog and give him the good home he deserved? It's SO UNFAIR!!!

God damn it you guys… I'm trying to work here and now I'm thinking about the Littlest Hobo and there's something in my eye and… oh fuck it.

As I understand it, the same type of regulations apply. I'm not sure of the percentage breakdown or how it applies to cable as opposed to broadcast, but I know CRTC licensing requires some Canadian content, which is how a lot of terrible Canadian bands made it big in the '90s and why I can still find reruns of The

You need to meet more people… Our Lady Peace hatred is widespread and mostly predicated on the singer's terrible voice

The New Music was a pretty great show… it exposed me to a lot of bands I wouldn't have otherwise heard in the pre-internet era.

Your grandpa sounds pretty cool (and I mean that sincerely).
