Ignition, by Warren Ellis. Read like Planetary mixed Quatermass. So, yes, very good. Also picked up the latest Judge Dredd Megazine because I missed the grumpy bastard. Having a Judge Anderson story was just icing on the cake.

You brought back fond memories of that book. I hadn't read any Toriyama when I read it originally, but now, my God, it all makes sense.

The truck chase scene in T3 was very well done. That and it had Clare Danes, so I was happy. Because I like truck chases. And Clare Danes.

I read the new Bloodshot reboot. It was…okay. The art was gorgeous, though.

I'm sure it'll be innocent fun! Batman and Robin racing all the Batmobiles ever across Gotham! Who will win? Hee! It'll be a lark!

If we'd gone Romero Leto could have kept his beard and just put white make up all over it because that's how the real Joker rolls.

Clearly Tomorrowland lacks a driving, hip hop soundtrack that's down with the kids these days so this film won't make a dime.Start typing that apology email, Georgie Boy!

If you're a fan of Neil Gaiman, you might want to start with Princess Mononoke, since he wrote the English dialogue. Although I'd also second (third?) Bishonen's recommendation.

I saw Living End in a very, very cramped bar years ago. No air conditioning during a heat wave. They still put on a hell of a show. It was like that hallway scene from Daredevil but with an upright bass.

I don't think Jon Favreau knew, either.

I'm also burned out on men in costumes fighting things, but Daredevil quickly won me over. That, and Rosario Dawson.

GAMES: I purchased a used copy of Valkyria Chroniclesthis weekend. I got a little pissed at the GameStop when the sole employee swooped down on me with a barrage of questions even before the door had swung shut behind me. I know it's their job and they get shit if they don't irritate the customers, but still. I'm old

This article should come with a trigger warning for people who have bad associations with the word 'problematic'. Because we're all human, man. We all carry weight. Man.

I loved his Godzilla run as a kid.

I thought 15,000 was the tipping point for cancellation so once you start dancing around that number your days are numbered. Which is sad: it seemed back in the Seventies that books were given breathing room to find their audience. If mainstream comics are just IP farms these days, wouldn't it make sense to let them

Read the first two issues of the new Star Wars. It provides as good a definition by example of 'bugfuck' as I've seen in awhile.

I always get Shatterstar and Longshot mixed up. Didn't they both have glowing eyes and eighties haircuts?

Munn was fingernails on a chalkboard for me on Attack, but upon reflection, the entire show became that after awhile. Psylocke is one of my favourite characters, but sure, fine, whatever. Just as long as we get more Blink in the next one because really, she just popped in and out during Days of Future Past, didn't she?

It also has one of the most beautifully shot outdoor scenes I've ever seen. The quality of light is breathtaking. Watch the film. You'll see it. AND TEARS WILL FALL.

Moving Pictures was my first Rush album. I was 14 and every kid in Grade Nine had to have it. That, plus a blue jean jacket, work boots, and an encyclopedic knowledge of SCTV.
