There isn't a character on Veep that I'm not overjoyed at seeing on the screen. You could throw spin offs at Dan Bakkedahl, Lennon Parham, Peter MacNicol or a rom com about Clea Duvall and Catherine kissing sisters and feeding sheep, and I would watch any of them in a heartbeat

Shows like Breaking Bad, The Good Wife and Fargo (among many others) wouldn't have worked half as well as they did if they didn't have their big senses of humour, and it never (to me) felt like the writers were crafting forced moments of levity - it was just built in to each show's identity.
