Aside from the Yoko Ono bit, most of the Beatles references went straight over my head, so I hadn't realized until reading this that the episode was a detailed spoof of the band.

A few years ago, I was looking at the incoming class of undergrads and thinking "Wow, they look so young". Then I did the math, and realized that when *I* was an incoming undergraduate, they hadn't been born yet.

Did anyone else read "Very Far Away from Anywhere Else" as a teen? I haven't gone back to it, but I remember the effect it had on me as geeky, alienated teenager very strongly.

I have fond memories of the PBS marathons of Red Dwarf. All of Red Dwarf in 24 hours (or a weekend, as they got further series), uncut, no commercials except for the between-show pledge drive.

Make it a double feature - Flowers in the Attic and Clan of the Cave Bear. At least, those were the 'adult' novels that girls were surreptitiously passing around when I was about 12.

It's tricky to see what Delenn could have done to detach Lennier's feelings, even if she recognized them. Lennier hasn't made anything even remotely resembling a move, will never admit to her he loves her, and is lying to himself about the nature of his feelings (I know she is not for me, but mine is a higher, purer…

This is the first I've heard of it.
I'd put the spiritual sequel to this episode as "A Fish Called Selma", where she gives up the chance to procreate with Troy McClure.

I liked Confessions. The whole (Spoilers?) AIDS analogy was a bit heavy handed, but the ending hit hard, particularly compared to the genre standard at that time - wrapping up everything neatly at the end of the episode (or two part).
