You're talking about Russell Crowe.

So much grosser.

So much grosser.

It also sounds like something got tweaked in Motion Picture Soundtrack, like the melody jumps a couple bars. Fucking amateur.

Home was probably the scariest, but there wasn't that much in that episode that made it an X-files episode—it could have been any dark, well-done cop procedural. The Eugene Tooms arc (there were two, right?) stands out in my mind as the best episode(s).

This new one is supposedly so low-key as to be close to ambient, which sounds like they're just adding the full band to the Riceboy Sleeps concept (with Alex Somers producing). That just sounds awesome to me.

"Assisting the player are roadies, which provided short periods of
immunity to obstacles, and The Manager, inexplicably depicted as the Kool-Aid Man, which allowed the player to move to the Scarab completely unhindered."

Oh my god the airedales. Thank you for reminding me of that scene. I think I'll reread the border trilogy now.

Ups on the From the Basement. I didn't like the record at all until I saw that. I guess I still don't like the actual record that much, but now From the Basement IS the record for me and I love it. Bloom is insane live.

Fine, I'll register some thoughts
"No duds, no waste" is accurate, but bland? If it's bland, it's because it's good in pretty much the same ways that Gulag Orkestar and Flying Cup Club were good, which is fine with me. I wasn't the biggest fan of March of the Zapotec/etc but this feels more like Beirut than those EPs.

I fucking loved that as a kid.

Pretty sure Michael turned into Omar.

Oh fuck it.

The Hobbit Part 1: There; and The Hobbit Part 2: Back Again

It's "non sequitard."

More importantly, what's it take to get a coin-operated boy? I'm so tired of swiping the card, so to speak.

Get a real job.
