I would actually say the same thing for Batman V Superman.
I would actually say the same thing for Batman V Superman.
They…have very little in common.
Seven Pounds had at least a sort of batshit logic to it, and was reasonably effective if you were willing to suspend disbelief. It doesn't sound like either of those things are true for this movie.
Some people claimed Smith bailed simply because his character didn't get to shoot the bad guy. But if it was due to not wanting to play second fiddle to Waltz's character, then I don't blame him. For a movie titled "Django," he sure did seem like the sidekick.
I think to hostilely take over the company? While also helping him heal, apparently? The weird thing is, Allan Loeb is a pretty good writer under other circumstances; both The Dilemma and The Switch are character driven, grownup comedies. I gotta imagine this was some studio head's bright idea.
To be fair, it was a pretty entertaining hangout movie.
The 100 has always had its share of clunkers per season, but I enjoyed season 3 overall, and it definitely finished strong.
Nice to see Speechless and Superstore on a couple of the ballots. Also Agent Carter, which, lackluster finale excepted, had a pretty great second season.
Westworld is thoroughly mediocre. No one acts or talks like a human being (please don't tell me that's the point), and the writing is superficial, especially compared to something like Dollhouse, which handled a vaguely similar premise in a more nuanced and interesting way.
Ah, I didn't see this when I made my last response to you! Agreed completely.
Never watched it! It didn't really seem to be up my alley, though admittedly I'm not going on much besides the commercials. If we're going with underrated, I might have to throw Speechless in there. The cast and the writing are consistently sharp and likable. I'm not usually big on family sitcoms, but it's been…
I've actually compared it to You're The Worst myself, but more because of superficial similarities like their similarly aged characters, subject matter, and format. I think my exact words were "It's like You're The Worst, if the central characters weren't raging assholes." I love how kindhearted Lovesick's…
Christmas was making a Childish Gambino reference, I'm pretty sure.
Yes to Superstore! Definitely one of the best sitcoms on TV right now.
Hence the pun.
Fleabag was really solid. Took a while to build up steam, but the finale definitely brought the tears.
Damn you, Fuller.
It helps to have a cable package that eliminates access to half the shows I'm interested in seeing. Though there are a few that I know I'll seek out down the road, anyway, like The Affair and Atlanta.
It's definitely one of the more purely enjoyable shows of the year. It's basically like a great popcorn flick in episodic format. It's derivative and not exactly deep, but the characters are lovable and you're almost guaranteed to have fun watching it.
I agree with the second part of your sentence.
